I want to start by saying I will not be going back! I went to get my nails done on Friday last week and I had no complaints, paid her named price plus tip. Everything changed when the nails start popping off Wednesday of this week (less than a week after it was made). I went back to her respectfully and showed her it’s coming off after a few days and the first thing she asked was if I hit my nail, I told her I didn’t hit it on anything, she kept repeating it making it seem like I was lying. I told her it’s on both fingers and if I knew it was my fault I won’t have returned. Right after I said that she said maybe it’s because I’m not used to long nails and I told her that’s not true either and I didn’t do anything to cause it. She did not take any accountability or apologize, she was passive aggressive instead and said she’s been doing nails for many years. She started to fix it and damn near broke my real nail while cutting old nail off, i flinched and expressed that it hurt, she just looked at me and continued, then she cut me while using the machine to file my nails, same thing happened and she didn’t even acknowledge it or apologize! I was at this point in pain and beyond annoyed, when she was done I just left. I was never rude to her, neither did I disrespect her and with that she still tried to gaslight me into taking fault for something I didn’t cause and also physically hurt my fingers as well. Her attitude explains why her shop is empty. she treated me liar & like I did the nails for free in the first place. The experience was disturbing to say the least! Zero responsibility from her, terrible attitude and terrible service. Wish I could give zero stars….

And the color was not the same as what was on the sample nails. This was my valentines gift to myself and I felt like crying! The guy was busy answering his phone and filed my nails too short then a lady came in took over and then was grumpy with me as she messed the shapes up.
Poor poor service. I was in there over an hour and a half and not one customer was there the entire time. I should have known better. If a shop is empty on a day like Valentines, then buyer beware….

This a family business ran by 3 siblings. I’ve been in Jax for 3 yrs and couldn’t find any Spanish nail techs who did pedicures but guess who I found here? Yolanda!!! I don’t know what it is but the Spanish nail techs get all the callus off your heels and get rid of all the skin around your cuticles. Linh (pronounced as Lynn) did a phenomenal job on my nails. I went in there with big blocky nails(dinner elsewhere) and left there with nails shaped to fit my fingers and a cute quick design. I’ll definitely be back….

However, I noticed the acrylic nail on my middle finger repeatedly getting loose (after already being replaced a few wks prior). I was concerned that my natural nail had been damaged and I removed it only to find a disgusting black fungus on my nail 🤢🤢🤢. A few days later I removed the remaining 9 nails and found that 4 other nails had the same black fungus . Today is my birthday and I am embarrassed and angry. I should've listened to the reviews on Google and Yelp. My nails are all different shapes, which are almond. Snow applies WAY TOO MUCH acrylic, she causes more work for herself. Anywhere else it takes about 20 minutes to file the nails but she took a little over an hour.

Now I do want to say she was very sweet but she knew I wasn't satisfied walking out of there. I wanted to cry. They looked and felt awful. She filed my nails so much and I was in severe pain. I almost told her to stop but I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Save yourself and do not go here. Another lady had a similar experience while I was there.

I will also add that the pedicure bowl has no liner and they just whip it down with a towel. Please be careful….

I use to come here years ago like 2011 and once in 2014 but only to get my toes done. Well today I was unable to get into my normal spot “Nail Care” the best in town by the way and worth the wait and money, but anyway today I was unable to wait I really needed my nails done for a dinner and as you can see what I asked for vs what I got. I did ask numerous of times could “Mike” I believe that’s his name could do it and he said yes but he was so distracted by another irate customer that he couldn’t pay attention to my details and instructions on how I wanted my nails. He began and was rushing slapping the acrylics on my hands and nails and at that moment I was ready to leave but he insisted on making my nails the “right way” the second red flag was when I told him about the shape and length and he kept trying to get me to change my mind and as he proceeded I noticed the acrylic getting darker and my nail length was too short. I asked him to stop and I’ll just get the soaked off and tip him for the time and he still insisted or trying to make them “better” well after I snatched my hand away and told him I do not like my nails he stood up and yelled at me telling me I was “too picky” and that he asked me several times what I wanted (lies) his wife lily then chimed in and also told me I should’ve stopped him in the beginning ( I did) so I asked could I have them soles off they both refused and he yelled at her and walked away. She charged me for my pedicure and then let me leave with my hand looking like this. I had to go to my original nail place show them my nails and skin and they were happy to remove my nails for me and squeezed me in a appointment on Monday for what I really want. Overall I am upset about how they handled the situation. Worse visit ever. Do not go here. My pedicure is nice but even that was awkward cause she had an attitude about that as well when I corrected her on how I wanted my polish. They only treat “regulars” with respect and even charge them cheaper than new customers. So there’s that red flag as well….

I came here on Saturday for a gel manicure on June 1st and today is Monday June 3rd and I already have 4 fingers chipped on me. My nails are short so they should have lasted a bit longer . The person who did them didn’t properly seal them and she also filed them after we cure them which also caused them to chip so fast . Waste of my money and time. I came here for good reviews . I’ve been coming into VK Nails for the past two years & I’ve had great reviews & some bad. For as long as I can remember, I’ve had the worst luck with one of the nail techs there who goes by the name Houston I believe. He had a slight attitude when I requested a French tip with a thin layer of acrylic.. & told me he’s been doing nails for years & basically doesn’t need to be told how to do it. They’re usually understaffed when I go & they usually put me with him. Unfortunately, I can’t think of a time where my fingers & nails didn’t bleed after my appointment with him. He is very rough & rushes to get the job done, which has resulted in several nail infections, and swollen, bloody/bruised fingers (see pictures below) including my most recent visit, where all of my fingers were bleeding when I left. He was wiping blood off of my fingers & would go over the cuts again with the nail drill/nail file some more to make them bleed even more & then he would dig his fingernails deep into the wounds as hard as possible for whatever reason why. Leaving me in severe pain. (See pictures below) & on top of that, I noticed they don’t disinfect any of the nail tools there. I wanted to give them one last chance but I think this was my last visit with them and I’ll be going to a new salon….

Quite literally the worst pedicure I’ve ever gotten. I was there for nearly 1.5 hours for a classic pedicure and ended up with the worst polish job I’ve ever seen. The nail tech was rough, didn’t have a steady hand, and cut my nails way too short without asking me. First time I’ve ever left without paying. Once I told him I was unhappy and that I was not paying, I left in tears. He followed me to my car (huge red flag) and asked me to pay. I told him I was not paying as I had already wasted an hour and a half of my time for the worst pedicure I’ve gotten. He said he didn’t understand English very well so two women came out to the parking lot and asked me to come inside and explain what happened. I went back inside to at least give them the feedback and let them see in person. One woman did motion for me to come back to the pedicure chairs, I’m assuming to fix my toes, but I told them I was so upset I didn’t want to waste any more time and left….

The very first time I came here Linda did my nails. I love that she doesn't do too thick and listens to what I like. I've gone here for almost a handful of times and I have only asked for Linda. I have not tried anyone else and don't know how good the other ladies and a few gents are. My average bill for a mani and pedi acrylic on hands and gel on feet would be $100-$140 per visit including tip. Photos are from a few visits I have gone there. I will continue to come unless there is a reason to not come there anymore. They also give a loyalty card that will give 10% off on my 10th visit.

Bad experience. First they definitely argued about who would do my nails. Then the nail tech I did get was super passive aggressive but I didn’t have time to go anywhere else! The whole time she’s prepping and everything she is just pushing to do gel saying that regular polish will come off quickly or in just a few days or it doesn’t look as good… and trust me the polish did not look good she made sure! I’ve never been to a nail salon that can’t do regular polish? Also I can’t get it because I have an allergy and don’t feel like finding out if it will work for me!!!! They also just push in general for their other services like waxing which I get threaded regularly so I’m good and don’t even look like I need and despite saying no nicely several times it just would not end. I felt bad like they aren’t being paid enough but I also thought it’s because I have a nice bag. They do not trim cuticles or care about the health of your hands just use the file and move on. Also the tips were too small which is a trick shady places use so they fall off quickly (my home girl who’s a licensed nail tech told me) and the nail doesn’t grow healthy underneath so you continue to do full set it needs to be wide enough to cover the width of the nail plate. I didn’t even really want tips just a little builder because I had good length but didn’t have time to go somewhere else or continue to what felt like argue I’m not a confrontational person and it was just kind of awkward….
