My water was cold as hell when I asked for it to be hotter it was still cold. My toes were not cleaned or cut even. First experience was the worst salon experience I have ever had. I have never walked into a nail salon and left without getting nails or feet done. I went in was asked to pick my color I chose and sat to wait patiently for my turn. One lady comes to see what color I picked and made a face because it was regular polish not gel I said I didn't find any gel that matched what I wanted. She Insisted gel was better and went to look herself. She finds a color and says see it's the same it was clearly not the same and I was told her I don't want that color. First things first. Other reviews where people are saying if you're a person of color to not shop here because they target minorities. Sorry to disappoint those who try to go that route, white male in his mid 30's here. This ACE location proudly supports equal opportunity of harassment for all! I've been coming to this store for about 7 years now only when I need to grab a couple simple items (smoker pellets, random fasteners, and or a quick plumbing item) and don't want to deal with the big crowds at Home Depot.

Every time I go to this store, I get hounded non-stop from the workers from the minute I walk in. A simple greeting and maybe a quick, "Do you need help finding something?" is good enough. When a customer says, "No thanks, I don't need help", that should be good enough to leave the customer alone. Today I needed to grab a sprinkler fitting and my son wanted a pack of Pokémon cards.

My family and I walked in and the older lady at the register greeted us and immediately asked if we needed help. We said no thank you and proceeded to walk to the sprinkler aisle. She immediately got on her radio and started calling my family out and mentioning what aisle we were walking past. I turned around and told her to leave us alone.

Sure enough, we were able to find exactly what we needed, but had a couple workers slowly walk past our aisle staring at us (probably just dying to ask if we need help); we paid and left. Previous visit, I needed to grab a fitting for our irrigation well, I knew exactly what I needed. I walked in, got the typically, "Hello, do you need help looking for something?".

I said no thanks and proceeded to go where I needed to go. Sure enough, I immediately had a shadow with a red shirt and earpiece following me. Being a husky dude, I put some pep in my step in attempts to outpace my stalker. I could hear in the distance, "Do you need help with something?", but I ignored them and proceeded to go down the aisle I needed to go down.

Luckily for me, there was some distance between my red shirt earpiece wearing stalker and me. I could see them in the corner of my eye turn down the same aisle, with the fear of blowing out a flip flop in mind, I picked up the pace even more and quickly turned down another aisle just to lose them. For a minute, it was an intense game of cat and mouse, however, I was leading this game. I quickly grabbed what I needed as I saw them turn down the same aisle as me again asking from a distance "Do you need help looking for something?".

With the momentum this freight train was traveling, I continued to speed walk my way to the register, paid, and left. The minute I got into my vehicle, I couldn't help to wonder when my time will be up and these red shirt earpiece wearing stalkers will be able to catch up to me.

Final story about another visit. My wife and I went in to grab a quick item, I believe it was some Traeger seasoning. No joke, we were in the aisle for maybe 5 minutes reading the ingredients in the seasonings and got asked if we needed help looking for something at least 6 or 7 times. It was to the point my wife and I were so annoyed, we just started asking the employees if they needed help looking for something.

In high school 20 years ago, I used to work at an Autozone, and we were taught to greet customers. By doing so, it helped prevent theft because the customer knew the employee saw them and acknowledged their presence. If they looked like they needed help, we'd walk over and ask. If they didn't need help, we left them alone.

In all seriousness, chill out! Leave your customers alone and let them shop in peace. There are swarms of you wondering around the store at all times, if a customer truly needs help, I'm sure they'd have no problem finding one of you red shirt earpiece stalkers. Regular customers shouldn't have to feel like a criminal entering the store. Your wannabe intimidation sign on the entrance door showing a shooting target is cute, most of the folks there look like they'd have trouble shooting a water gun at a house fire….

I like to support Ace my parents shopped at Ace and my grandparents. When I entered the Babcock location I was greeted by a young employee. But, he proceeded to follow me as I walked by looking down each aisle. He asked if I was looking for something. I replied yes i'm looking for velcro strips. He said we don't carry velcro strips. Which is strange? Because I got them last month. I just couldn't remember the aisle. I asked him where is the 3M aisle. His reply was.We don't have 3M I don't know what that is. I said, do you have any hooks with strips on the back of it?His reply was yes we have hooks. I asked him to take Me to that aisle. I said thank you and he stood there and continued to watch me as I was choosing my items. Not having any product knowledge.He asked me if I had needed anything else and I said thank you.I know what I need and I'll just get it. So he proceeds to follow me as I go and grab my seasonings for the grill. Then looks at me and says do you need anything else at this point I did not want to shop with him.I wanted to shop on my own so I made my forty dollar purchase of three items and left. I have never experienced shopping like this befour and I never want to again.This is not considered customer service.This is called harassment one someone says thank you.You walk away. I will be going to the ace hardware store on new haven for now on…

So today I decided to try out a new nail salon. I got a fill and a pedicure. I didn’t notice til I got home because it was very dark in the salon that my feet could have used another coat of black gel nail polish and most of my toe nails didn’t get fully polished. My 10 year old daughter could have painted my toes better. Also the hot towels they used for the pedicure didn’t smell very clean. Very potent musty smell to them. I’m very disappointed considering how much I spent and how much I tipped. Wasn’t very happy with the quality of my nails either. The length from hand to hand didn’t match compared to the other fingers, some longer and some shorter. It’s not like they were busy either. At one point I was the only person in the salon. I will never go back here. I recommend you save your money too and go elsewhere….

I just moved to the area and was looking for a new nail salon. I visited another salon earlier today, but I had to rush out before they started because I was called into work. They didn’t have any more openings until next week, so I booked an appointment with Easy Nails for later in the evening. I always choose places to go based on reviews, and I saw this place had 4.1 stars, so I decided to give it a try. Not going to lie, when I got to the parking lot, I looked at photos in the reviews and was terrified. Some of the pictures look terrible. I’m not sure how people were okay leaving like that. But then again, I am VERY picky about my nails. I have a specific shape I like, that no one ever seems to get right, and they must be a certain thickness, etc. I debated leaving before even walking in. This nail salon is very basic. It’s no luxury salon by any means, but don’t let that deter you. I would argue that these are some of the best nails I’ve ever had. He gave me exactly what I was looking for, the ombré, which other salons seem to having trouble doing. The shape, which I always ask for and no one gets right, was PERFECT. These nails are almost flawless, which is a huge compliment coming from someone who is so picky….
