If you are flexible and inquire about designs and prices beforehand there are no surprises and I think the amount I paid was very fair for the top quality services I received.

Clean and has more seats than it seems from the outside. Lots of colors in all styles. I made an appt and there was no issue with them fitting me in with short notice but they also take walk-ins, you just have to be patient and wait until a tech is available.

If you live in the Villages there's no golf cart path but it's a very short drive. Will definitely be back….

Other people came in and accepted their walk in status. Why could they not do my pedicure I have not idea why. Apparently my money is not green enough. I have been coming here for 6 years and they do a beautiful job almost always and the owners are so great. Sadly today I went in for a pedicure and didn’t have the greatest experience, this was my second time with this guy and he does a beautiful job on my toes but his with his massages he repetitively rubs the same spot which was a tad bit uncomfortable but not unbearable and because I got the highest grade pedicure the massage was longer then normal, my polish turned out great and he worked around my new tattoo and he’s very nice but he did not scrub my calluses off of my feet and rubbed my foot raw from rubbing the same spot over and over again to the point of blistering. When I realized a blister formed about an hour later the lady just said sorry and that she would let Jenny (the owner) know, I have not heard anything back and just am a little disappointed in the way it was handled, I gave 4 stars because i think they do great nails that’s why I have been a customer of there’s for so long but I now have a bad taste in my mouth and if this was one of my first visits it would have been a 1 star based on the way I felt brushed off at my complaint….

Ive been here 2 times and the first time was amazing but i went here yesterday and ms star did my nails, unfortunately i was displeased by the way she acted . She was filing my nails alittle to hard and i have cuts on two fingers ,she had also kept grabbing my hands assertively and I didn’t appreciate that especially when she kept shaking her head . when i went to pay for my nails i gave gave her a 5$ tip and she acted like it wasn’t good enough. she did an awesome job on my nails but i most definitely didn’t appreciate any of the rude attitude. This shop is one of the best shops in the area. They always do their best to make sure a customer leaves satisfied. Although it’s sometimes very busy, the service is well worth the wait. The family that runs it is friendly and they make you feel comfortable with whatever situation you have going on. They ALL do great work down to nails, toes, lashes, brows/brow tinting, and more. Joe is the owner and he creates a fun conversational environment in the shop. That’s the main thing that I love about this shop, they make an effort to connect and be social with the clients. Being located in Florida City, they handle conflict really well and try to resolve problems professionally. They are also really clean and don’t rush. Once it’s your turn it is all about you. I can’t say enough good things about this place….

I went back in to confront the owner which advised he was the one that worked on her nails then he advised he’s being doing nails for 30 years. THE SECOND PIC IS WHAT HE DID, THOSE NAILS ARE DESPICABLE!! Arguing with this slum owner did no good, he really thought his work was brilliant. He did a garbage job and charged $100 for her pedicure and the nails, AND THE STONES FELL OFF ONE HAND AN HOUR LATER.. J&T in Florida City will never EVER get another dime from me. I was able to snag a last minute same day appointment for a full set and pedicure. I was immediately welcomed and sat for my nails. Mai went above and beyond expectations! I had a reference photo that I wanted and she made sure to follow it exactly how I wanted. My nails are SO cute and even my husband mentioned he loves the classy elegant look they have. I had the volcano pedicure. Very disappointed with this service. The massage was too light-handed, they spilled paraffin so I didn’t get the full foot covered, the blade to remove dead skin did not come from a sterile pack, and neither did the brush they scrubbed my foot with. Gross. The green brush looked very worn. Polish is clumpy and messy. The “tech” barely spoke to me. When the nails were dry and I checked them, I asked why the polish was so bad? They asked if I wanted it fixed now? I’ve already been here over at hour… Like how they didn’t see how bad their polish job was before putting me under the dryer, I don’t even know?!? Also, the packs that they were using we’re not actually sterilized there was moisture in the packs when removed from the top cabinet of the unit. I watched tech place a kit in to be sterilized and the next tech grab the same kit that was just placed in there . It’s also too crowded in the sterilizer with too many packs stacked up. You can not process instruments in layers. Too many packs means bacteria and moisture is trapped. This is not up to safety standards….

Should have read the reviews before I went into this place today.
I walked in today and requested umbre nails. Pink and white nails that blend with sparkles. I showed him 2 pictures of what I liked. He told me that he could do it. After he already applied the white he told me that he didn’t have the sparkles that I requested. (Big shiny sparkles) he brought me a color with shear light sparkles (nothing like the pictures) AFTER HE SAID HE COULD DO IT!!!
He then showed me a different shade of pink with a lot of sparkles in it. I told him that I was ok with the pink he showed me, I just want it umbre where the colors blend.
When he was finishing up my nails they were not umbre they were white tips!
The two colors were not blended together AT ALL!!!. He then said I told you that we needed to do clear??? Blaming me!!! I said I wanted sparkles with pink and white umbre. I showed you 2 pictures and I was verbally clear on the request. It’s not my job to know the technique that you use!!! I’m only concerned with the final product!!!
I told him that I refuse to pay for this. The manager or whoever she was jumped up and said, sit down I got you. She then said that I didn’t listen to the other tech when he was telling me what he needed to do. First of all, she was not present at the time when I showed him the pictures and verbally told him the look I was trying to accomplish.
She then told me the only way to fix it was to take the nails off and start again. She then soaked my nails. Ok fine, if you can fix it I will let you fix them.
Once she took the nails off she got up and moved to another chair and began working on someone else. And didn’t say a word!!
I said, are you not going to fix my nails? She told me that she didn’t have time to fix them unless I wanted to wait for 2 hours. AFTER SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE COULD DO WHAT I REQUESTED !!
If you don’t know how to accomplish the technique that is requested you shouldn’t say yes I can do that!!! Then, tell me you are going to fix it and then take off my nails and send me on my way. After they told me they would fix it. Instead telling me she will fix it and then act like I’m the one who is wrong!!
I hope I help someone else by leaving his review for bad business. I have been getting my nails done for over 20 years and I understand mistakes, but to completely disregard a customer as if it was my fault shows exactly what type of character this salon has. RIDICULOUS!!!!!

I have issues with my big toes that can cause a good deal of pain on the sides. She always gets that “out” and takes care of it without any bleeding and minimal discomfort. Because of this, I will wait for her over any other technician – although I am confident that they are all good at this location. They also offer waxing services – and Lisa does a great job there too! Tina was so friendly and nice. I was worried because I didn’t know what I wanted and she helped me pick out my nail shape color and even tested it out first to make sure I would be happy with the result. And I was and am. I love how pretty my nails look and she waxed my eyebrows giving them a lovely shape again. I’ve been going to Velvet for a while now. For pedicures and occasional manicures. The salon is usually busy with appointments because of how professional they are. It’s so spacious and clean, and the staff give everyone quality service as if they’re the only ones there.

Whenever I would try random salons with friends, it was always up in the air of whether we’d have a good visit. I’m so thankful I found this Velvet Nail Bar so I can feel confident I will get amazing service no matter which nail tech.

I’ve also had Chao in the past (I hope I’m remembering her name correctly). But she took the utmost care of me. She did my wedding nails last year, which I loved! Then during my pregnancy, she was so sweet always making sure everything felt okay.

very displeased with this place and how Management/the owner handled my situation today. I had a 12 PM appointment arrived between 1145, 11:50 AM. First, that was one employee to started taking my nails off then I was passed on to another, which she started finishing taking my nails off while hurting me in the process, but I sat quiet. Then, from there it became a two hour process her, deciding what type of nail would best work for me, putting it on taking it off trying this, trying that suggesting this suggesting that. At that point, I just said I came early because I have to go get my kid by 2 PM. Two hours past when she finally decided to go with the tips and put the acrylic on which is what I walked in with, and what I asked for in the beginning. Then I’m finally the third person to do the design I showed The design to the owner. The moment I stepped in the door he He walked around with my phone I guess find someone who could do the design every person that I sat with. I show them the design. Not at one did anyone say they cannot do it the third person was supposed to be the person that can do the design And she did horrible. My nails look like duckbill nails mind you I asked for coffin, there’s so much gel and acrylic and whatever else they put on that my nails are lumpy and wart, the sides are chips and bumpy. I have been going to this place on and off for several years, never once caused a problem never once had an issue. You would think with being a loyal customer and just courtesy saying that I was very upset and very unhappy with the turnout I even told them I didn’t like it during the process after being there for four hours I just told the lady do what you Gotta do I just need to go I’m unhappy and now I need to feed my kid. I walked out of pain $82 for something that I didn’t even like you would think that would know how upset I was the owner would say we don’t want you upset. Let us fix the problem or come back and let us fix the problem when I left I was still upset, so I called them back expressing me being unhappy with the quality of care I received today. The owners response was send me a picture of what you I will see who can do it bring her back and you can Come in tomorrow, but on top of the $82 you just had to pay you still have to pay an additional $45. Someone make it make sense so because you and your employees messed up, I have to waste additional time and money to fix what you messed up. The situation was handled very poorly. Like I said, I have been going on and off for several years. And I will NOT be going back again!…

Lunar nails is super convenient to my house, so I stopped in to get a pedicure. I was able to walk in on a Friday at about 3 and be attended to right away. They don’t have any menus or pricing posted, so I had to ask what types of pedicures they offer. They only offer regular or deluxe. The deluxe is $50 with a $15 addition with gel. I will say that the pedicure was pretty good though; The guy did take his time. All in all I may come back if I don’t feel like driving to my usual spot….

Walked in at 5:50 and asked if they could do a full set, they close at 7. My nails WERE long, but peeling away from the acrylic at the tips.
Rather than using the dremel, then soaking them off like all other places. They choose to take a nail tip and attempt to slide it between my nail and the acrylic. I pulled my hand away 3 times while saying owww. She hands me off to another girl, who does the same to the point of cracking my own nail and slitting the nail bed. She cut all my long nails down. I finally tell her to forget the nails. Just put a clear polish on them. She says you sure? Absolutely, my nails hurt.
She says you want the manicure then? Yes.
That consisted of no shape to my now non-existent nails, and a fast arm/hand lotion massage. She puts clear coat and sits me under the dryer telling me I’m good. I was out before 6:30. After paying $32.00, she knew I was mad. While doing the “massage” she said sorry. I tipped her ONLY because she apologized….
