First, this place only has so many stars because they basically pay people to rate them. 5 stars= $5 off. Not that it will help much with the extreme prices they have. I wanted to get my nails done for vacation, I took a peice of my clothing with me to match a specific outfit. After choosing the color. The nail tech, Annie, was nearing the finish of the last gel coat (I only got gel over my natural nails that I had been growing out), it was time for the seal. Before she sealed, I had mentioned to Annie, who was my nail tech, that my polish was clumpy and goopy. She insisted that it wasn't and started speaking very fast in a different language. She called another tech over and I showed her my nails, she suggested to put sparkle over it and insisted that it was the color I picked out and not the slop job that Annie did. I decided to agreed to try the sparkle (which did not impove it by much). In anger, Annie grabbed the stand my hands were STILL resting on, resulting in them falling to the counter and continued to pack everything with haste shoving all of her equipment in her drawer and demanded that I sit and wait for someone else to do my nails. She expected me to wait AGAIN for someone to be able to finish my nails. Her frustration was evident. I understand that some times people have bad days, and I've never posted a reveiw like this, however I've also never been treated so badly/rude. I called the manager, Nathan, and left my number 3 times within the week, asking him to call me back so we may discuss this incident, however he never called back and was always unavailable. With as expensive as this place is, I expected more from my service. I've also gotten several mediocre pedicures from this place, but never complained, as I understand that they were short staffed and most of the people where new, but never blatantly rude like Annie was. I'll never go back here again. With the direction the world is going now, I'd rather work hard for a service that works hard for me….

Worse experience ever. I asked for a manicure and gel extension. The technician did not give me a manicure whatsoever. She did not prep my hand and simply glued the faux nail to my unprepped nails. When I asked if she was going to take my cuticles off she responded with “yeah I file later” and she sure did. She files my skin raw. Three days later all my cuticle is still there and my nails look awful. It was the most painful nail experience ever. Do not recommend!…

I recently visited Azulene Nail Salon for a manicure and pedicure, and my experience was a mixed bag. Let's start with the positives: their pedicures are absolutely amazing. The attention to detail and the level of care they provide is top-notch. However, when it comes to manicures, particularly acrylic services, I was sorely disappointed. After leaving the salon and taking a closer look at my nails while sitting in my car, I was shocked by the poor quality of the acrylic application. It was evident that corners were cut, and the end result was far from satisfactory.
Dissatisfied with the outcome, I walked back into the salon to request a refund. They wouldn’t refund the $80 for the acrylic nails. Although they offered to fix my nails, I couldn't bring myself to trust them again after the initial disappointment. It's disappointing when a service falls short of expectations, especially when you're paying for quality.
On a side note, I initially requested a design for my nails, but the technician seemed uncomfortable with the idea, so I settled for a solid color with chrome instead. While this wasn't a major issue, it did contribute to the overall feeling of dissatisfaction with the experience.
In conclusion, while Azulene excels in pedicures, their manicure acrylic services leave much to be desired. Proceed with caution if you're considering getting your nails done here, especially if you have specific design preferences….

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! I should have done a review sooner! They are kind of new.. I went in bc I was close and had just gotten my nails done somewhere else days before, and they were breaking already. So I went in for a nail repair.
I asked for tips, yet the tech asked if he could do it “a better way for MY NAILS?” I said of course. Well he built the nails out of acyclic and THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL! Still are almost 2 MONTHS later! I’m waiting on these to fall off to start a nail treatment on real nails(they haven’t even started cracking yet). But I WILL continue getting pedicures here until my nails are in better shape.

I started going here a little over a month ago and I went to John I loved the first 2 full sets he did for me. However, on my third visit I asked for my nails to be done like the first picture and the last three pics are what my nails looked like. I was not satisfied and I told him, instead of offering to fix it he said that’s what you asked for on the video you showed and walked off and gave the receipt to the clerk. I went ahead and paid and scheduled to come back the next day. When I arrived I asked to speak to a manager the clerk asked what happened I told her and she told me to have seat at station 6 John’s booth. He redid them and after he finished he told me next time I’ll have to find someone else to do my nails he won’t do them since he can’t do what I like. That really upset me and I felt it was rude. Not every single nail set a client is going to be happy with. I took the high road and said that’s fine cause after that I wasn’t going back to him anyway. My Mother's Day started great with my pedicure. The young man was very attentive and did an amazing job. I wish he could have done my nails. I was sent to another tech. The nail tech at chair #2 was awful! I showed him a couple of pictures of how I wanted my nails shaped, he was dismissive and inattentive. I had him reshape them and then he said well “Your nails are big”, I think he meant wide but it was still rude. I guess at this point he was getting impatient. The young lady checking in clients who came over and gave a suggestion to put rhinestones on my nails was also nice, and I think she was trying to make me feel better, he then said something quite aggressively in their language which made me uncomfortable. I was just ready to leave. Needless to say, my nails are uneven and he just didn’t do a good job at all. His client experience or satisfaction was not his top priority….

I got a manicure and pedicure here because my friend wanted to come here because it is closer. Given my nails look nice. BUT it was so rushed and I did not appreciate that. The atmosphere of the place was clean and respectful but it was odd and the workers weren’t very good at communicating with the customer. A basic pedicure is $30 they charged me $45 at checkout and my nails a full set of acrylics is supposed to be $40 they charged me $55. I understand taxes but when I got my receipt they didn’t show me what exactly I paid for. That bugs me because I feel overcharged. Given I would not care if they were a little less rushed and there was more respect for the customer. They overcharged my friend as well. Nails are cute for rushed work….

I made an appointment online and chose the artist I had seen recommended most, but once I arrived, though she was free, I was told “anyone can do that” so was assigned to another technician. I said that was fine, and proceeded to have my service with him. He was very nice, but made 5 of my fingers bleed during the process, and didn’t use any kind of styptic or even acknowledge the multiple spots of blood. He barely wiped them away, and carried on leaving large dried blood spots on half of my fingers. The attention to detail for cuticle work and the shape of the nail (not the soft square, but the uneven bulkiness of the dip on top) ensures I don’t plan on coming back. I came home and washed off dried blood, but am still sore on those fingers. The space is beautiful and seems clean, but my experience left much to be desired for me. Attached photo is just one hand to demonstrate what I left with.

Edited to add – I called the store as instructed and spoke to the manager, who didn’t actually discuss any of the issues I experienced, only heard I was calling in regards to a review and said she’d fix the nails if I come in and then instructed me to change my review. However, if we had actually had any discussion, it would be clear that my cuticles need time to heal before having more work done. I appreciate that there’s not much more than can be offered to me, of course, but the conversation felt dismissive and disingenuous. I can’t imagine feeling comfortable returning here.

Further edited to add – as my nails have been breaking and coming off, I’m seeing how deep he went near the cuticle – far too deep, and now I have uneven nails to grow back. Do not go here!…

Went for a pedicure and requested the paraffin pedi with gel polish. The tech was nice, but I assume she forgot I asked for it because I got callus removal and the basic pedicure without even having lotion or any scrub, etc prior to her painting them. Only once this was done did I mention something and she proceeded to do the socks, lotion and towel. In all salons I’ve visited prior this was done prior to the polish but I again assume she forgot the pedicure I had requested. Even if I did not remind her, I still got a very basic pedicure with little effort. I was also charged an additional 15$ for gel, which is not a big deal but is not clear when advertising the pedicures they offer. Not sure if I just had a weird experience; the overall pricing isn’t bad for additional services compared to higher end salons but I’d try them again. Quality of the paint is decent and again she was very nice….

I went in for a new set and pedicure 9 days ago, and yesterday my middle nail snapped off. I wouldn’t have returned but since i called and they said they would fix it for free, i did. Today i went in and got it “fixed” but the nail looks awful. The woman did not put any pink under the white so you can see through my nails (my other nails had the pink) and she put way too much white and it was a different shape. I would of been fine with it since i could deal with a weird looking nail for a week until i get them redone (at a different place) but when i went to leave, they said it would be 8 dollars. I informed the front desk person that I was told on the phone it would be free, and he said because of the length of my nails, it would be 8 dollars. i paid for the length of my nails when i got the full set only 9 days ago when i paid 130 dollars for a mani pedi. I would understand if it broke off from a fill because nails get old and weathered so they need to be replaced, but before i got them done i did not have acrylics on at all, so after only 9 days, it should not have snapped off (so easily as well) edit: the top coat she put on my nails today is peeling off as well, including on the new nail)…

The acrylic is bumpy, nothing is filed consistently, and the color is missing from the sides. I asked for OPI bubble bath and she did white? Her son, Jason, did my pedi a couple weeks ago. Again, super thorough and attentive. Jason fixed the numerous issues I had with my toes and put on the polish perfectly. Usually my polish comes off my toes same day, but Jason did such a good job, it's all still there – no lifting or chipping.

I used to have some great thoughts about this place before my last visit. The day before my renewal ceremony, I was surprised with money to get my nails done. Due to previous experience there, this place was where I wanted to go- NOT ANYMORE. The guy that did my toes took advantage of the fact that I was on the phone with with family and friends (mind you, I also had my 4 year old daughter with me) to make sure the ceremony was going to go as planned and he charged me $12 more as well as gave me services that I did not ask for, even after I had already told him that I did not want the service he was offering to me.
The gentleman that did my finger nails was so sweet and seemed to be very excited for me and I appreciate him for that.
His graciousness though isn't enough for me to go back ever again though. So, when you go get your nails done here, don't get distracted by anything else, pay attention to what some of them maybe trying to do….

It seemed like the guy that did my pedicure had never done one before. He cut my nails and dremeled the surface of the nail without soaking my feet. He did not bother cleaning under my nails, pushing back my cuticles, or properly shaping my nails. He literally just cut a strait line across the top of the nail and moved on. The "exfoliating scrub" was wiped on with no effort while he watched the TV behind me. Then the massage with lotion was lackluster and feeble. I've had better massages from old ladies. He didn't even touch my calves. I would have given only one star, but the ladies tried to fix the situation by touching up the nails and massaging again. Vicky gets the extra two stars….. but you shouldn't have to ask for another person to complete the job properly. If you're not going to do the job right, go home….

Absolutely horrible service! I’ve been coming here on and off for years because I’m from a nearby city but I have family here. They have no care about you as a person only the payment you make or card swipe at the end.
I keep telling myself I’ll never come back to another tech aside from Vicky or the lady in the first chair (I forget her name) for nails. They are the only 2 women there who can actually do nails here. This woman Loc Le did the most horrendous job on my feet, she never asked what shape I wanted or if I wanted them cut down. She did whatever the hell she felt like then when I asked her at the end of her doing an acrylic fill on my big toenails and completing the gel polish she swiped the top of my toenails twice with the file. Now we all know (or maybe just me because I’m a licensed cosmetologist) that you ask what shape the client would like, cut and file BEFORE polishing. She left my feet ashy with no cuticle oil and half polished toenails with big lumpy acrylic. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY THEY WILL DISAPPOINT AND NOT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOU BEING A DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER! I added photos from in the car and when I got home and I am actually embarrassed that I let them get away with doing this to my feet. Since this business was sold my wife and I have had issues several times with appointments. We have been going here for more than 22 years. Lately, we have had numerous appointments scheduled only to find out the appointments were not made or the wrong times were written down. We have spoken to the new owner each time and he made the appointments but then somehow forgets or writes down the incorrect times. This past week my wife called and made two appointments for her and I. We had to update our appointments from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm, the same day. We spoke with the new owner and he stated no problem at all. The day of our appointment we received a call from the receptionist stating we were late for our appointment. My wife advised our appointments were for 2:30 pm. We were quickly said no they were not they were 1:30 pm. My wife explained she spoke to the owner and changed the appointment to from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. The receptionist told my wife that was not correct. Once again, she told him again what had taken place with the owner. The receptionist informed my wife they had other customers at 2:30 pm so we could not come. At this point my wife was upset because this same issue has happened previously. She tried to accommodate numerous times to allow us 15 minutes to get to the shop but was met with no even though this was the owners fault. My wife told them to forget it and we would go elsewhere. I called back and advised the receptionist he needed to call the owner and make this right since it was his mistake and he had done the same thing previously. The owner called back and did nothing but blame my wife. He didn’t offer any solutions and did nothing to help us for his error. He failed to realize I was sitting in the car with her when she made the appointment originally and then had to move it to one hour later. I quickly explained the events that took place and we were told ok. If this was the first time this has happened, we would have said okay no problem. However, this was not the first time it happened. As I stated, it has happened several times since he has taken over after never happening prior to him buying the shop. We miss the way the shop was operated when Ray and Vicki were the owners. To many avoidable mistakes are being made by the new owner….

Henry did my nail art meticulously, helping me choose colors that matched my desired look perfectly. My sister also had acrylics done by Henry and was very pleased with the high quality and how he accommodated all her preferences.
Mom thoroughly enjoyed her gel mani-pedi with Anna, especially the pedicure where Anna skillfully treated deep heel cracks painlessly and with great patience. Both my mom and my sister highly recommend the pedicure experience here.
The salon was clean, organized, and all instruments used to cut and push back cuticles were sterilized in a UV machine beforehand.

2 hours almost for a gel mani/pedi which you would think it good be good quality. The lady did the scrub so strongly on my legs that I had little cuts. I have a cut next to a cuticle from the filing, which i told her she hurt me, but smiled and kept going. All my gel nails are chipping from day 2. I do not recommend it at all….

He was very attentive as to what I wanted, shape, color, length etc. And was even very informative about the difference between acrylic and dip powder. He puts in the extra time to make sure the work is done right and doesn't rush at all. I would definitely recommend going to this nail salon but I highly recommend going to Kevin. The nail salon is very clean you watch them take the instruments out of the packaging so they are sterilized. The male nail tech does not know how to polish well. I asked him several times to redo the polish because of how sloppily and carelessly he polished them. I originally wanted French manicure polish but after several failed attempts, I chose a solid color hoping that he would be to apply a solid color neatly. Because he reapplied my polish so many times, the back of the nails still had remnants from previous attempts. I was also charged an additional $5 for “cutting and shaping” my nails but I think that he added the fee because he assumed that he wouldn’t be receiving a tip. Though the service was awful, I tipped him anyway.
After reading the reviews, I noticed a commonality among those who left bad reviews. I feel as though they purposely give bad service to certain people to ensure that we do not return. This is their way of targeting a specific demographic….

The next morning I noticed a bit of dried blood on the bottom of one of my toenails – figured the nail tech nipped me with her tools and was mildly annoyed she didn’t mention it. Was just about to apply some peroxide and anti-bacterial ointment to the toe when I noticed the nail was literally hanging by a tiny piece. WTH? I have never had any type of fungus, infection etc. on any of my nails so can only surmise the tech managed somehow to cut it nearly off and didn’t say a word.

Went in while in town for a quick visit, needed a pedicure/gel polish and dip powder redo for my nails. Should have gone elsewhere. The powder job on my nails is not smooth, she didn’t clean my nails well, and didn’t take the powder evenly to the base of my cuticles across my nails. I didn’t want to embarrass the tech so I called immediately after walking out to request a portion of the money paid; they refused. Offered for me to come back so they could “fix it” but I communicated several times while she was in the process of doing my nails that they did not look finished. Not to mention that my daughter and I had already spent two hours in the nail salon, and my daughter was hungry and tired. Pedicure was also not good; it was rushed and quick, “massage” was all of five seconds. Too many other salons in the vicinity to waste your time, and money, here. Walk a few more steps or drive another minute away for better treatments and services. Bad business. I would not recommend….

My daughter went here today per her roommate's suggestion. Unfortunately, she had a terrible experience. Not only were the gel nails thickly applied and lumpy, the technician failed to cut the cuticle and left polish all over the skin. Despite her dissatisfaction, she still left a 20% tip.

She immediately called me from the car and explained the situation. I told her to go back in and ask them to remove the gel nails. As someone that was referred by a friend, I made an appointment with Anna. After waiting 30 minutes, I was instructed to go to Cassie. I expected my expectations to be met however they were not. Though Cassie was very kind and tried her very best, I was not happy with my dip nails and I was still charged full price. I’m not sure why I wasn’t given to Anna as my appointment was specifically with her (which I mentioned multiple times), however what I paid for the designs were not worth it. They were not precise and they my nails were clumpy after the designs. My toes, which has never ever happened before were clumpy and not filed straight as well. They had specks of my nails which showed that the nail wasn’t smooth before being painted. Sadly disappointed with my services however, workers are kind.

Edit: My nails ended up breaking and chipping in less than a week. I ended up going back on for repair and Anna accommodated me. Her designs were precise and cleaner. She was so very sweet and her work is absolutely amazing — she served amazing customer service!…
