Helen takes her time and really thinks of the client. She always out does herself on designs and never rushes. Place was clean and staff were extremely friendly, the issue was the nails itself.

At the front desk we were asked what our designs were and if we had reference photos, and the lady said they could do them.

I got the younger guy with the tattoo on his arm, and showed him the reference and he said he could do it. Another girl came over and told him the design needed to be done with eye shadow, which didn’t go as they planned so they wiped it away (not fully). Then they got polish to make the design and it was non existent, so they went darker (literally NEON).

I told them if he couldn’t do it (since he was clearly struggling with the design) that I was fine with a basic round shape with no design. I got almond shape, it was all crooked and not cleaned up, the color was awful, and the acrylics were pointed UPWARDS from my actual nails. Trying to save it, I told him to add like art to distract from the mess and he said sure…but never did it and put the final coat on.

Paid $72 and unfortunately hopped to another salon immediately to fix my nails. Even the nail tech who was doing my friends nails (which came out great) next to us said they were bad and that she was sorry, she said that’s why she makes sure to show the client before completing a set, which this man did not do.

First photo was the reference (had a Pinterest tab of similar photos as well). If he couldn’t do the design I would’ve moved on to another one. Unfortunately would not be coming back here, it’s a shame since the staff are so nice….

I was a walk-in on a Saturday looking for a simple but nice and clean place to have a mani-pedi for me and my daughter. I had called 30 minutes in advance and they said they would have no problem taking care of me and my daughter. The price for my daughters nails were $70 total and mine were $75. I did not opt for gel as that was more. But because I did a little design strip on my nail they charged a little more than their normal price. I also upgraded my pedi to the deluxe which honestly wasn’t much more than the basic pedi. I at first had Allen which honestly seemed to be sick and was a little too rough and didn’t put the scrubs and lotion all the way up my calves he only did half way up and I had to specifically ask him to go up to the bottom of my knees and he did. So this could’ve been more so a polite thing but all the women were going all the way up to their knees for the other clients getting their feet done so I was a little jealous. When it came to my design he did end up getting Kristine and I am so happy he was honest and said he couldn’t do the design I wanted to he got her and man oh man world of a difference! She did the paint job on my hands and toes so nicely! I totally enjoyed her! My daughter had Meechi I may be spelling that wrong but she was absolutely AMAZING as well! She was wonderful! My daughter was having a difficult time deciding what she wanted as a nail art design on her big toes and Meechi had to fix it for us but she was spectacular in making sure we were happy at the end of the day! I wanted my daughter to feel super special as she is starting high school. So it was more important to me that she was well handled and taken care of and Meechi exceeded my expectations! I will gladly and definitely be back but will highly recommend Meechi or Kristine! Both were amazing. Allen may do a good job but I don’t think he was honestly feeling the best so I will play that to the experience. However he did try his best to make sure my nails were how I wanted and catered to making sure I was happy so I will not fault this nail spa in anyway! I overall was happy but will ask for Kristine or Meechi in future appointments. Overall good experience. Facility was clean and nice. Equipment was clean and good….

Went in to have a relaxing pedicure to end up having the bottom of my foot cut open. The male nail tech then argued back and forth with me that he didnt do it, that he is a professional . I felt the cut happen and saw the blood when he was scrubbing it so hard with the scrub brush! I did not come in here with a fresh open wound. He would not take accountability for it so I stopped the pedicure from being finished and he WANTED TO CHARGE ME $60 for a half done pedicure and a new open wound on the bottom of my foot. I asked for a manager and he told me he was the manager and so I asked to speak with the other manager and she offered to take off $10, I said i did not even get half the pedicure done, so they took off $20. I still paid $40 for horrible experience and will not come back. I understand mistakes happen, but how rude to go back and forth with me about something you clearly did and tried to not take accountability for it. You’ve lost a good customer….

My usual nail place was closed so I had to venture out. I saw this place had great reviews so I gave it a shot. Customer service was pleasant overall. My nail tech was Nancy. I would like to give her the benefit of the doubt, but I can’t this time. I am also in the beauty industry, so I understand we all have those days. However, if you can’t fix it, find someone who can. I got a dip set with tips- something I have done a million times. To me, it seemed like she really rushed the entire process- even though they weren’t busy. I had to ask her to cut down or reshape nails multiple times. My two thumb nails look completely different and she told me “your nail bed is just larger on one side”. I have never had this issue before. All of this I can let slide, but the injuries I sustained I cannot. I have cuts on 8/10 nails. I repeatedly let her know she was hurting me, as if the blood wasn’t sign enough! Aside from my lopsided thumbs and the cuts on every finger, my nails look great! 🙃 I still paid for my service. I came to leave my review and noticed that the only 1 star review was about Nancy 🫠 always read the 1 star reviews folks!!…

The whole process felt rushed it only took about 30 minutes to get my acrylics done. When I had left the salon I noticed how poorly shaped and filed the nails were. However my nails look like my toddler attempted to do them and they basically cut my cuticle on both big toes. Paid almost over $100 plus tip for services and it literally hurts to put socks on and go to work due to having raw cuticles. Not sure where all of the great reviews come from, but that unfortunately was not the case for me at all….

Loyal client since 2021. Today was the last day I will give any of my money to this salon. I've tried to stick it out even after the constant raising of prices, taking away all discounts and incentives. I mean the prices raised 3 times in one year, within months of each other.

Today is exactly two weeks from when I got my nails done. They were not right the first day I left. I texted her pictures and telling her that although the nails seemed ok before I left, as soon as I got home I started noticing they were not right. And I was basically brushed off. Told that it just "looked that way to me". I had another nail tech look at them and they confirmed they weren't right. She never even offered for me to come back in so she could take a look or anything. I mean the nails were not even sealed from DAY ONE. Everything I touched stuck to the nails and I couldn't get it off. The top coat was peeling off multiple nails. My nails have never looked this grown out in two weeks. She's even said herself after 4 weeks at times that they weren't that grown out.

Today was my first time I was able to go into the salon to get a soak off. I've never gone for just a soak off, I ALWAYS get a new set. When I got there and stated I wanted a soak off, after knowing we texted about the nails you would think she would have at least looked at them. Instead she had someone else soak me off and when I asked aren't you going to even look at them she said with an attitude "it's been weeks". Yeah two weeks to the day, but I communicated with you the day of. There's been other times I've not been happy with my nails but I just grinned and bear it. This was the last straw. There's hundreds of salons around here and if I'm going to spend my money, I want to be happy with the service every time…

Unfortunately this used to be my favorite nail salon but not anymore. I was clear about what I ordered which wasn’t what I received. I scheduled an appointment for a dip French manicure and instead the nail tech gave me a dip base color with a hand drawn French tip. I expressed that this wasn’t what I ordered or expected and she mentioned that because my nails weren’t even that she couldn’t do the dip French tip. My nails were longer this time than they were the very first time I ordered this same service a year ago with a different technician. The French lines aren’t all uniform and underneath the nails feel thick and clunky. When I brought this up to have it filed underneath a little bit to make it “feel” more comfortable she told me she couldn’t because my nails were too short. Never again! This place lost a customer because I will not be returning. My pedicure was fine but the “dip French manicure”was not. My cuticles look crusty and old as of I had my nails done for over a week already.

Even after she told me to wash my hands there was no warm towel to place on my hands or lotion…I had to apply the lotion myself and she didn’t anything before she walked away. I didn’t even know we were done until I noticed that her station was cleaned and when I asked I was told that she was finished. Who does that?! Definitely not professional….

I came here last Thursday at 5:30pm, was put with a lady that did my nails so rushed that my 6 year old can do a better job at panting my nails. I hate to write bad reviews but this is well deserved. Back in april, i had walked in to velvet because my boyfriend had been here before for a basic manicure and liked the ambiance. He had seen the nail tech that did his mani do another intricate set and recommended i go to her to get them done. When we arrived, we asked for kymmy, we didn’t wait too long. When i sat down, i showed her what i wanted and that i wanted ACRYLIC. When prepping me, she asked if i wanted Gel-x, i said no. Then she went on about why i SHOULD, do gel-x. Again, i declined and explained why i wanted acrylic. Then she tried to make me feel stupid with “do you even know what Gel-x is?” And continued trying to sell it. At this point i had said no 3x already and i felt uncomfortable saying no again because she was very persistent. I decided to give in even though its not what i wanted. What i asked for was TAPERED SQUARE. She grabbed a box of tips and started applying. They looked very unsquare but i tried trusting the process because Ive seen other nail techs work magic. After applying tips on all my nails and never confirming the shape before doing them all, she went to put the tips away and on the box it said coffin tips. I was very angry at this point but once again i tried to trust the process. She applied a nude pink gel when the picture i showed was mkre translucent pink-nude. There was never any confirmation that it was what i wanted or if i liked it. She basically just did whatever the hell she wanted. The picture i showed was a translucent nude-pink with jade green french. She made the base so pink and then pulled out a seafoam green that was so far from the color. I asked for the other green and she applied and asked me if i liked it. Because the base was pink and not nude it looked horrendous. I was so angry and just wanted to leave so i said to just use white and finish it. She had the nerve to say “yea the white looks better anyways.” But of course it looked better that way because she didnt do the nails the right color. When i walked out of the salon and looked closer at my nails i was so enraged. They were crooked, the polish didnt cover the tips or sides and they were already chipped. And the french design was so thick and choppy i cant even begin to understand how she thought it was similar or okay to do. My man paid almost $100 for her to do whatever she pleased and F my nails up. I did not enjoy the gel-x, it ruined my nail beds and the skin under my nails grew so poorly and long that i couldnt even get another set done for awhile because i couldnt clips them down or try to restore my nails. I have cracks in my nails and the health of them declined after seeing her. This was the worst set ive ever gotten and experience Ive had. And when you see the pictures compared to the inspiration, it doesnt make sense to as why she thought she could do what she did. I wish i could go back in time and leave when i first saw that she was just gonna be careless and self involved. I only had a few pics and theyre not the best but i couldnt even look at my hands without getting angry. But anyone with eyes could see that they are no where close to each other. I need Kymmy to do better and listen to her clients instead of thinking she knows everything and doing as she pleases with other peoples hands and money….
