1 stars because 0 isn’t possible. Went in for a GEL appointment. First thing Kyle does is put on acrylic on my natural nails I had been growing out for 3 weeks. Let that slide. The length of my left thumb is what I wanted them to be like, the first two fingers are fine then when he gets to my thumb I referenced, he files it down shorter and almost touching the base of my nail. When I asked if he could make it longer, I got the response, “it’s too late.” With a smile. I kindly informed him my wedding was in two days and he simply did not seem to care. As you can see in the picture, the next to last nail on my right hand was noticeably crooked. When I told him, he filed down on the inverted side and said, “better” when he just made it worse. He was rushing through with my nails and there were no customers at all inside when I went or any after me. Caused redness to most of my skin by my nails and even caused one of my pinky fingers to bleed. He didn’t even show concern that I was bleeding and simply kept going. I will NEVER come back here. Ken at Happy Nails by Publix did an amazing job fixing my nails for my big day. Sky Nails will never have my business again….

My wife went here and got her nails done. She had two nails come off before a week passed. $130 something. She went back to get them fixed and they charged another $45. They "Had" to change her nail color so it was an extra charge. She had decorated nails as she usually gets, but they just replaced her nails with a solid color. My wife is a stay at home princess so she never breaks nails, and never usually has any issues otherwise. This place is absolutely worthless. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else….

When Peter first started my nails, I let him know that I wasn’t feeling them. He assured me that they would get better , but they gradually got worse. Once it was time to wash my hands I just had to let him know I didn’t like them. This man starts huffing and puffing beating ME, (the customer) mad. Usually I take the blatant abuse when he makes ugly toned comments complaining about what I’ve asked him for; but this was a treat from me to me during these expensive times. It was busy , he told me to come at 5 then 5:30 only to start around 6. I offered to come back the next day but he insisted I stay. Though I asked for ombré, something he’s done for me before, he proceeds to just slap the acrylic on the nails in uneven lines. So after I wash my hands I showed my nails to him and asked “do these look right?” He doesn’t answer. “Peter, If you didn’t want to do my nails you could’ve just said that, you didn’t have to do me like this”;he’s just looking at me annoyed saying “what do you want me to do?” . I say “ I need you to fix it because I am going to cry.” And I proceed to cry. Lisa next to him chimes in a suggestion and he slaps a bit of gel polish over it. I don’t want your little automatic response you make to all your negative reviews about making it right; because if you wanted to make it right you would’ve done it while I was in the shop crying. I just want people to know that I came there for a full set and pedicure but left disappointed, with no pedi, upset and in tears.

Edit: I got my nails “done” Friday 5/24 it’s now Wednesday 5/29. Not only is the acrylic LIFTING but 3 nails popped off like they were press ons. At the encouragement of my friends and family I added photos.The left hand is the day Peter did my nails, The right hand is today. If you want to waste your money come here!…

He also skipped doing the pumice over the big toe, so there is still dry skin. This business deserves a rating of zero! I came here to get my nails and toes done the day before a cruise after another appointment was canceled unexpectedly. The employee that did my toes used dip powder even though I requested tips because she said it looks better. One of my “toenails” (right pinky toe) came off before 24 hours and three were gone by day two. I was still charged for tips (nail extensions) that I did not get. I did not get a full pedicure because the water was too hot and no one was available to cool it down while I was waiting, then the worker immediately started on my feet. My nails were rushed because the nail salon closed while I was still being serviced and the final look definitely reflects that. I meticulously inquired about the cost of my desired service prior to being seated and informed the employee that I am relatively new to getting my nails and toes done. I still got last minute surprise fees, which lead to me not getting what I intended. The employee that was assisting me (due to language barrier) caught an attitude with me because I told her that I felt they were overcharging from what she originally quoted. The employees were very obviously talking about me, so much so that another customer approached me about it. I even heard the girl that caught an attitude tell the nail tech “good luck” when he started my nails, though I was always polite to everyone. Despite the subpar experience, I tipped generously. I regret it ever coming to this place. Would not recommend….

I visited your nail salon on 7/21/2024 at 3:00pm to have my acrylic nails removed, and my experience was extremely disappointing and distressing (the guy who was answering phone calls did my nails).
The guy began the removal process using a fake nail and applied excessive force, which resulted in the breaking of my natural nail. This caused significant pain and bleeding. Following this, my remaining nails were soaked in nail polish remover without proper wrapping, leading to severe dryness of my skin. Throughout the service, he repeatedly left me unattended to handle front desk duties and answer phone calls. This happened on three separate occasions, causing unnecessary delays and further discomfort. Despite my requests for the technician to complete my nails before attending to other tasks, the service remained inconsistent and prolonged.
He finished and some of my nails still have remnants of acrylic, and the cuts are uneven and sharp. This not only reflects poor workmanship but also poses a risk of further injury. Overall, this experience was highly unprofessional and unacceptable. I expect a certain standard of care and quality from your establishment, which was clearly not met during my visit.

You need to save your money! I’ve been to this nail shop 3 times. Let me start off by saying most of the techs are kind. However, I’ve seen workers that have come and returned smelling like weed and especially scrolling on their phones. The nail salon itself has a pungent odor. The first time I had gotten my acrylics done was actually fine, I had a valentine set for $60. The second time I went I did have my nails done by Anthony and I would only recommend him! He took me in rather late and did an incredible job with my nail set. This last and final time, a nail tech did a fill in, put four stickers on top of the art Anthony previously did, and charged me $75. He then explained the stickers were expensive and I did my digging on Amazon to find the pack for $7. I called the manager that basically blew me off. Please take your money elsewhere….

Go see Leah!! I’ve been with Leah since 2018 and have followed her to any location she’s been at! She’s the best! Very thorough with her manicures and pedicures and takes the time to make sure it’s done right. Her nail shaping is PERFECT and her painting it’s always on point, hitting every corner and edge but not painting your cuticles. I’m picky with my nails and she’s always been “the 1” for me! Unfortunately this used to be my favorite nail salon but not anymore. I was clear about what I ordered which wasn’t what I received. I scheduled an appointment for a dip French manicure and instead the nail tech gave me a dip base color with a hand drawn French tip. I expressed that this wasn’t what I ordered or expected and she mentioned that because my nails weren’t even that she couldn’t do the dip French tip. My nails were longer this time than they were the very first time I ordered this same service a year ago with a different technician. The French lines aren’t all uniform and underneath the nails feel thick and clunky. When I brought this up to have it filed underneath a little bit to make it “feel” more comfortable she told me she couldn’t because my nails were too short. Never again! This place lost a customer because I will not be returning. My pedicure was fine but the “dip French manicure”was not. My cuticles look crusty and old as of I had my nails done for over a week already.

Even after she told me to wash my hands there was no warm towel to place on my hands or lotion…I had to apply the lotion myself and she didn’t anything before she walked away. I didn’t even know we were done until I noticed that her station was cleaned and when I asked I was told that she was finished. Who does that?! Definitely not professional….

I dont know if this place is deleting the bad reviews or what, there is no way with the service i got this place deserves a 4.9. I came here last Thursday at 5:30pm, was put with a lady that did my nails so rushed that my 6 year old can do a better job at panting my nails. I am so disappointed, less than a week and my gel is already chipping off, the lady was so concerned about what the other lady was talking about in their language that she did not pay attention to what she was doing. Then went i went to pay i had to scan the code for Zelle because nobody was in the front to ask how the service was or nothing. Waste of my money and time.

Update 5/21/24.. I received a call from the place for me to come in so they can fix my nails at no cost, made my appointment and came in, I was surprised and grateful that they actually did call to fix the issue, i picked a different color, had another girl that did my nails even though I felt like she was rushing, the color is very vibrant and looked nice this time, even though my nails were not cleaned on the side I’m pleased with the result. Thank you….

I’ve been coming to Kai’s for 6 months now. Religiously I go, every two weeks to get my nails done. The salon is clean, modern and trendy, I’ve tried Yen, Eric and Ben when it comes to my nails and they are fantastic with their work. I go to Ben now and he creates the most perfect designs for me which is what I love about him. His technique throughout the whole thing is right on the money. I recently went to try a facial out with Dao and her hands are magical. She has the candle lit for you in the room, the heated bed and massages your every muscle on your face, neck and chest. It was exactly what I needed after a long couple of weeks. She extracted all my blackheads and I felt so relaxed after. I highly, highly recommend going to Kai’s Nail Salon. I’ve never committed myself to any nail salon the way I continually come back here. It’s my favorite spot and I love everyone who works there….
