Went to have my nails done on Saturday, which is an hour away one way. First the lady complimented me on how great my cuticles were and so forth , once I left and washed my hands and got all the oil off my cuticles , they were all chewed up(it definitely didn’t look like a had a manicure just my nails painted ).On Monday I drove all the way back so that the manager could touch up my toe and my middle finger on my left hand. She inspected my hand, never noticed the horrible mani job that was performed (I even told her the nail polish was thin on all my nails, you can see through the paint without even holding it in the air.She said the paint was like that.) Mind you I get my nails done often my nails have never felt so thin with gel nail polish, Gel polish has always made my nails feel sturdy . I can push a button in and my nail bends(that isn’t normal). My nails last my three weeks usually.)Then on the toe she wipes the clear coat off and then couldn’t find the right purple so she blended the toe nail color with a darker purple and the toe is rough now no buffing after the repair. Here we are on Wednesday, I normally don’t wake up and write reviews but because My nails are done up for a vacation and now I have to go pay someone to repair the nail because I refuse to keep wasting gas to drive out there for it to mess back up in two days! I will say they are sweet there but I won’t be driving there for nails.Also my nails were crooked when filed the first time, pictures show the middle finger chipped first and second time and shows the cuticles the looked chopped up and as well as the toe that is darker than the others also the lavender nail next to the chipped dark purple shows it crooked. If all went well with the repair I promise I wouldnt be writing this but here we are and here I go to spend probably 40$ more on top of the 85$ I already paid y’all!

Got my nails done (acrylic/gel) beginning of August prior to surgery. After spending basically a month in bed recuperating I went in for a fill. I have done zero housework involving water and have kept hands dry. A fungus was discovered on both little fingers under the acrylic. The owner tried to remove the thick acrylic ( which was securely adhered to my nail) and put the clipper tool through my nail bed causing it to bleed. Then continued to try and force the acrylic off. Needless to say I was near tears. Also last visit thumb nail was crooked. When i asked to have it evened up they asked where i had it done. I pointed to the girl who did it and they laughed. 2 years ago I got a fungus on my toenails from there. Still trying to get rid of it. I only went back to this place because my regular manicurist retired. I can't understand why they don't sanitize their tools between clients. Guess I'll continue looking for a new salon. Hoping no one else has had this issue there….

This was my second time getting my acrylics done here. The first time they had come out lovely but this time … not so much. I had gotten them done two days before christmas. The whole process felt rushed it only took about 30 minutes to get my acrylics done. When I had left the salon I noticed how poorly shaped and filed the nails were. I didn’t have time to come back so I filed them in which they came out a lot better. I then began to realize my fingers were starting to turn yellow and solidify, which has never happened to me before. First, this place only has so many stars because they basically pay people to rate them. 5 stars= $5 off. Not that it will help much with the extreme prices they have. I wanted to get my nails done for vacation, I took a peice of my clothing with me to match a specific outfit. After choosing the color. The nail tech, Annie, was nearing the finish of the last gel coat (I only got gel over my natural nails that I had been growing out), it was time for the seal. Before she sealed, I had mentioned to Annie, who was my nail tech, that my polish was clumpy and goopy. She insisted that it wasn't and started speaking very fast in a different language. She called another tech over and I showed her my nails, she suggested to put sparkle over it and insisted that it was the color I picked out and not the slop job that Annie did. I decided to agreed to try the sparkle (which did not impove it by much). In anger, Annie grabbed the stand my hands were STILL resting on, resulting in them falling to the counter and continued to pack everything with haste shoving all of her equipment in her drawer and demanded that I sit and wait for someone else to do my nails. She expected me to wait AGAIN for someone to be able to finish my nails. Her frustration was evident. I understand that some times people have bad days, and I've never posted a reveiw like this, however I've also never been treated so badly/rude. I called the manager, Nathan, and left my number 3 times within the week, asking him to call me back so we may discuss this incident, however he never called back and was always unavailable. With as expensive as this place is, I expected more from my service. I've also gotten several mediocre pedicures from this place, but never complained, as I understand that they were short staffed and most of the people where new, but never blatantly rude like Annie was. I'll never go back here again. With the direction the world is going now, I'd rather work hard for a service that works hard for me….

Worse experience ever. I asked for a manicure and gel extension. The technician did not give me a manicure whatsoever. She did not prep my hand and simply glued the faux nail to my unprepped nails. When I asked if she was going to take my cuticles off she responded with “yeah I file later” and she sure did. She files my skin raw. I recently visited Azulene Nail Salon for a manicure and pedicure, and my experience was a mixed bag. Let's start with the positives: their pedicures are absolutely amazing. The attention to detail and the level of care they provide is top-notch. However, when it comes to manicures, particularly acrylic services, I was sorely disappointed. After leaving the salon and taking a closer look at my nails while sitting in my car, I was shocked by the poor quality of the acrylic application. It was evident that corners were cut, and the end result was far from satisfactory.
Dissatisfied with the outcome, I walked back into the salon to request a refund. They wouldn’t refund the $80 for the acrylic nails. Although they offered to fix my nails, I couldn't bring myself to trust them again after the initial disappointment. It's disappointing when a service falls short of expectations, especially when you're paying for quality.
On a side note, I initially requested a design for my nails, but the technician seemed uncomfortable with the idea, so I settled for a solid color with chrome instead. While this wasn't a major issue, it did contribute to the overall feeling of dissatisfaction with the experience.
In conclusion, while Azulene excels in pedicures, their manicure acrylic services leave much to be desired. Proceed with caution if you're considering getting your nails done here, especially if you have specific design preferences….

Went for a pedicure and requested the paraffin pedi with gel polish. The tech was nice, but I assume she forgot I asked for it because I got callus removal and the basic pedicure without even having lotion or any scrub, etc prior to her painting them. Only once this was done did I mention something and she proceeded to do the socks, lotion and towel. In all salons I’ve visited prior this was done prior to the polish but I again assume she forgot the pedicure I had requested. Even if I did not remind her, I still got a very basic pedicure with little effort. I was also charged an additional 15$ for gel, which is not a big deal but is not clear when advertising the pedicures they offer. Not sure if I just had a weird experience; the overall pricing isn’t bad for additional services compared to higher end salons but I’d try them again. Quality of the paint is decent and again she was very nice….

I went in for a new set and pedicure 9 days ago, and yesterday my middle nail snapped off. I wouldn’t have returned but since i called and they said they would fix it for free, i did. Today i went in and got it “fixed” but the nail looks awful. The woman did not put any pink under the white so you can see through my nails (my other nails had the pink) and she put way too much white and it was a different shape. I would of been fine with it since i could deal with a weird looking nail for a week until i get them redone (at a different place) but when i went to leave, they said it would be 8 dollars. I informed the front desk person that I was told on the phone it would be free, and he said because of the length of my nails, it would be 8 dollars. i paid for the length of my nails when i got the full set only 9 days ago when i paid 130 dollars for a mani pedi. I would understand if it broke off from a fill because nails get old and weathered so they need to be replaced, but before i got them done i did not have acrylics on at all, so after only 9 days, it should not have snapped off (so easily as well) edit: the top coat she put on my nails today is peeling off as well, including on the new nail)…

Been here a handful of times and always have had a stellar experience except for this visit. I paid $55 for the deluxe pedicure and it was an extremely poor effort. A rough attempt at best on the massage he literally had to wipe the excess lotion off because he barley rub it on/in. The lady next to me had way more attention and quality looking nails and only paid for a standard pedi.I was told I paid more for the "hot" stones that like the towels, were barley lukewarm because they sat out for minutes. Nails are mis-cut and badly shaped and look sloppy, I actually had to ask for a cotton ball and acetone to clean the polish off the top of my foot. I could have done this for free by myself at home but was charged $70.00 because gel cost an additional $15. I'm absolutely stunned I just paid that much for such an irritating experience. I will say the Technician offered to attempt to fix my nails, but I couldn't see how without cutting way too short and I already was over the experience. I will not be back and I would suggest more fluent and consistent training, or charge less for unexceptional services. I would have been happier paying for a basic pedicure, then to pay for all the extras that I did not receive….

Like all these places, the experience is inconsistent. Personnel change. Prices go up. Cleanliness is often merely window dressing and questionable. It's not medical grade services.

I have reservations. Shared implements and common surfaces scare me, with good reason. It takes faith which i don't have. I don't see the autoclaves in action.

Sanitation matters. You have to assume it's marginally alright. Sorry folks but I'm not off the fence on notions concerning hygiene. Customers assume the risks of ubiquitous typical common infectious agents found on skin including in healthy people and the surfaces most people touch. No different than anywhere else. You can mitigate some of it.

Tuberculosis, diphtheria, typhus, measles, yellow fever, malaria, dengue, leptospirosis, chickenpox, smallpox, malaria, haemorrhagic fever, meningitis, and beriberi are most certainly not concerns there. I can't speak for other establishments and places around the world where you're served sewer water or people drink rain water from an old tire. Let's be realistic and fair.

But plenty of common skin and nail infections are legitimate possible entities that theoretically, albeit probably undocumented and unknown, could easily spread in the absence of real attention to detail with the generous use of bleach on surfaces and towels, and correctly autoclaving the implements. An example is wart virus. Another example is the bacteria MERSA.

At another nail salon I once saw a big girl obvious wart on a worker's hand. I presumed it was from one of her prior customers months earlier., I told her to not touch me. She was offended. I never went back. Again, that was at a different place.

You see how easily things can go wrong. I wish to reiterate the subject of this review is better than most other nail salons, imho, based on personal perspective and my own experiences. However that's somewhat impossible to demonstrate or prove. It's mostly a matter of faith.

For instance, wiping surfaces down with a towel that's already been used on a person merely spreads to the common surface whatever the prior customer had, exposing the next bloke to that. This is one of a dozen examples I've personally witnessed here that are red flags signaling caution.

If nobody is watching and nobody of importance is regularly regulating, then of course it's human nature to cut corners to save time and resources. That's life. You can't really assess how often or where it's occurred. Even so, it doesn't necessarily usually lead to clinical consequences or outcomes but results in nothing or goes unrecognized. We do have immune systems that are remarkable. I'm just trying not to challenge mine with too many assaulting factors or various assumptions upon its integrity.

Let's give an example. Don't chop raw chicken and reuse the cutting boards in one's kitchen, and wipe up the blood with a dirty rag, then cut up vegetables on the same contaminated filthy surface. Obvious to some. Oblivious to others. Even if you do something dumb, it doesn't necessarily mean your family gets sick every time. Most of the time nothing untoward happens.

You decide if you want to believe if there's implementation of infection control, or how much so occurs along a gradient, existing in any strip mall nail salon.

The staff are charming and kind. They are very nice and helpful. I like them all. I say that they give a great manicure and pedicure. That's not my concern. Is it worth the risk to acquire or spread skin and nail infectious organisms? Maybe that's up to you since big and local government alike apparently have not placed nail salons under the microscope as a public health issue or crisis yet….

I wouldn't even give one star. The new owners might give great services but I witnessed appalling behavior toward the former owner while she was doing my mani. She was ordered out before she could finish my service. I could not understand exactly what the woman was saying but she was yelling and carrying on in the middle of the salon for a long time preceding this. I cannot believe anyone would treat a newly widowed woman in this manner. Shame on you whoever you are….

Pedicure was top notch! However, I got dip nails and they look pretty awful compared to the first time I went… might have just been the nail tech but I will not be going back for a dip set.

I did ask about it at the end when I noticed it but I was told “it’s just the dip powder” and still got charged full price for these.

(Notice all the white dots everywhere) and no it’s not “sparkles”. Really is disappointing because these people are super nice….
