Update w/ picture below of what my nail looks like now. This is why is upset me so much when they told me it was my fault she burned me. I have to wait for the whole nail to grow out before it looks healthy again. :/

Disappointing, to say the least. The young lady was pressing too hard with the electric tool to remove the gel, and as a result accidentally burned my nail bed.

The young lady was offended I said something and instead of “I apologize and will go lighter”, she blamed me, saying it was my fault. Instead of taking responsibility and both of us moving forward, she blamed me and of all days on my Birthday before picking my son up.

But it didn’t stop there, I was blamed by two other ladies who come to stick up for the young lady. I am sad that this happened, as I am a long-time customer.

I forgive them, but unfortunately, they lost my business. It’s sad that one cannot hold themselves accountable and then blame the other person for their mistake. What happened to ones integrity. 🤦‍♀️…

Wish I could rate no stars. Went into 1st nails today to get a dip powder mani done on my natural nails. This is what I left with! 😑 My nails look terrible. By far the worst job anyone has EVER done on my nails. My nails are different length, my nails shape is ruined (which they didn’t even asked what shape I like, they just rounded them and I do NOT like them rounded), my cuticles and the sides of my nails look worse than when I walked in. The dip powder itself has a TON of bubbles and isn’t smooth at all. On top of that, the clear gel top coat they put on, didn’t even adhere in a solid manner. The top coat looks like Swiss cheese! I asked for marble on my ring finger, I’m not sure what I got, but it wasn’t marble. Plus I didn’t ask for glitter, but I got two random globs of it on each ‘marbled’ nail. On top of everything else, I paid $45 for this, and that did NOT INCLUDE A MANI! So $45 for just some terribly dipped nails? What a joke! I’m sure some are wondering why I even paid for nails that look like this, 1) They finished and I paid. I didn’t even have time to really look at my nails, and I didn’t notice how horrific they were until I walked out into the sun to get in my car. 2) I had my toddler with me. She was over having to sit still and behave, so I wasn’t going to go back in an make them redo them.

I’ve heard a lot of great things about this place. But my nails look the worst. Visit at your own risk. 😒…

Eh pass. This is my 3rd time coming. First experience was great. Second time I booked for me and my mom and arrived to see them closing up the shop an hour early because there were no customers? Mind you we made a reservation. Last time was yesterday I was seated and woman began my nails and put two nails on very crooked and I asked her to please redo and she tried to convince me that no it was fine till I insisted. Redid it still crooked and I asked again to please fix and she said “I don’t know what you want I will call another woman over to deal with you “ wow. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent visit 2/8/2024 with this establishment. This was my second visit; my initial experience was satisfactory, which encouraged me to return.

However, this time, the following issues occurred:

1. The technician, who seemed inexperienced, attempted to remove my nail polish incorrectly, despite my request for the appropriate method.
2. My pedicure was incomplete, as the technician moved to polish my nails without properly cleaning my feet.
3. Upon expressing my concerns, I was met with an unprofessional response from the individual at the front desk, suggesting I take my business elsewhere.
4. After inadvertently leaving my phone, I was compelled to pay $30 for the brief and unsatisfactory service to retrieve it.

I felt humiliated by the treatment I received and the manner in which my feedback was handled….

Lately, I’ve been telling her to do whatever and she never lets me down. She is also great at designs or getting as close as she can to something you find online. Overpriced! I went in for dip. I have never paid over $45 for dip unless I got something extra or my nails were longer. My regular go-to nail salon has gotten worse, so I decided to go back here because I used to a while back. I am not sure how long this will last. The dip was not done how I am used to (dipping in the powder) but was done with an acrylic brush and only 1 layer. No cleaning of the nail area or anything extra was done. My nails are short and they were already shaped so he did not have to do any of that. When I checked out Rose told me it was $65😱. When I questioned it she got an attitude and said you have not been here a long time ago, as in justifying the charge. To make matter worse, she rang me up and the receipt said 66.30, so I asked about that. With an attitude, she said "2% charge if you would have paid cash no fee". Why didn't she tell me that before?
All they did was put one layer of dip powder with acrylic brush, one layer of clear and two 30 sec session under the light. That's it!!! I am not coming back. I love getting my nails done, but I am sick of the lack of customer service and hidden prices. No where on the chart is there dip and the only thing on the chart at that price was pink and white gel!!! I truly believe she just made up that price when she charged me. What a shame!! My nails look fine but I don't care how good of a job you do when you lack care for your customers and have an attitude just cause you can, I will not spend my money at your business….

I go as a treat every 6 weeks or so. I like dip and gel. Nothing special. Maybe I'm old-school, but there was a time when you were not rushed in and out as fast as possible. Manicure included cuticles, shaping, gently filing taking care of nails beds and sides, lotions and pleasant service. The last time I was there I received rushed and rude treatment as if I was a burden. The Manicurist had a filthy station with someone else's nail clippings and filings and used the same dirty towel. I should have stuck up for it myself stopping her. But I didn't. The whole time I'm worried about infection. She did nick my cuticle which bled. So this place can't really call it a spa treatment . I had a very disappointing visit to Grand Oaks Nails. I asked for a standard French pedicure but the staff seemed to have different definitions of what that meant and ultimately, due to miscommunications between the staff, they were unable to deliver a standard French pedicure. I even showed a picture of what I was expecting. I also repeatedly asked what color they typically use for French and was ignored. Unfortunately, I had paid before my toes were finished, the owner was extremely rude with me and no solution was offered. (I was there with a friend she checked in under her number )she's the second person on the right the girl next to her had to explain what I needed sits on her left, station #1. I was offered a beverage from the small refrigerator next to where the young Male receptionist sits. While both television played food shows on baking So, yes I was there. You should do the nails right the first time so Customers don't have to call back and complain. I attached a picture of the transaction, If the nails are done properly it takes Acetone to remove them after a Month, my Nails fell off over a two week period, when my Nails are done properly by my Licensed Tech I can go three weeks before a fill is needed my lifestyle hasn't changed….

Went for a pedicure and requested the paraffin pedi with gel polish. The tech was nice, but I assume she forgot I asked for it because I got callus removal and the basic pedicure without even having lotion or any scrub, etc prior to her painting them. Only once this was done did I mention something and she proceeded to do the socks, lotion and towel. In all salons I’ve visited prior this was done prior to the polish but I again assume she forgot the pedicure I had requested. Even if I did not remind her, I still got a very basic pedicure with little effort. I was also charged an additional 15$ for gel, which is not a big deal but is not clear when advertising the pedicures they offer. Not sure if I just had a weird experience; the overall pricing isn’t bad for additional services compared to higher end salons but I’d try them again. Quality of the paint is decent and again she was very nice….

I went in for a new set and pedicure 9 days ago, and yesterday my middle nail snapped off. I wouldn’t have returned but since i called and they said they would fix it for free, i did. Today i went in and got it “fixed” but the nail looks awful. The woman did not put any pink under the white so you can see through my nails (my other nails had the pink) and she put way too much white and it was a different shape. I would of been fine with it since i could deal with a weird looking nail for a week until i get them redone (at a different place) but when i went to leave, they said it would be 8 dollars. I informed the front desk person that I was told on the phone it would be free, and he said because of the length of my nails, it would be 8 dollars. i paid for the length of my nails when i got the full set only 9 days ago when i paid 130 dollars for a mani pedi. I would understand if it broke off from a fill because nails get old and weathered so they need to be replaced, but before i got them done i did not have acrylics on at all, so after only 9 days, it should not have snapped off (so easily as well) edit: the top coat she put on my nails today is peeling off as well, including on the new nail)…

The acrylic is bumpy, nothing is filed consistently, and the color is missing from the sides. I asked for OPI bubble bath and she did white? Her son, Jason, did my pedi a couple weeks ago. Again, super thorough and attentive. Jason fixed the numerous issues I had with my toes and put on the polish perfectly. Usually my polish comes off my toes same day, but Jason did such a good job, it's all still there – no lifting or chipping.

I asked for short nails but not this short and even told her they were way too short. I pointed out that she missed a lot of areas with the white paint and she stated she fixed it (she didn’t). First, this place only has so many stars because they basically pay people to rate them. 5 stars= $5 off. Not that it will help much with the extreme prices they have. I wanted to get my nails done for vacation, I took a peice of my clothing with me to match a specific outfit. After choosing the color. The nail tech, Annie, was nearing the finish of the last gel coat (I only got gel over my natural nails that I had been growing out), it was time for the seal. Before she sealed, I had mentioned to Annie, who was my nail tech, that my polish was clumpy and goopy. She insisted that it wasn't and started speaking very fast in a different language. She called another tech over and I showed her my nails, she suggested to put sparkle over it and insisted that it was the color I picked out and not the slop job that Annie did. I decided to agreed to try the sparkle (which did not impove it by much). In anger, Annie grabbed the stand my hands were STILL resting on, resulting in them falling to the counter and continued to pack everything with haste shoving all of her equipment in her drawer and demanded that I sit and wait for someone else to do my nails. She expected me to wait AGAIN for someone to be able to finish my nails. Her frustration was evident. I understand that some times people have bad days, and I've never posted a reveiw like this, however I've also never been treated so badly/rude. I called the manager, Nathan, and left my number 3 times within the week, asking him to call me back so we may discuss this incident, however he never called back and was always unavailable. With as expensive as this place is, I expected more from my service. I've also gotten several mediocre pedicures from this place, but never complained, as I understand that they were short staffed and most of the people where new, but never blatantly rude like Annie was. I'll never go back here again. With the direction the world is going now, I'd rather work hard for a service that works hard for me….

Worse experience ever. I asked for a manicure and gel extension. The technician did not give me a manicure whatsoever. She did not prep my hand and simply glued the faux nail to my unprepped nails. When I asked if she was going to take my cuticles off she responded with “yeah I file later” and she sure did. She files my skin raw. I recently visited Azulene Nail Salon for a manicure and pedicure, and my experience was a mixed bag. Let's start with the positives: their pedicures are absolutely amazing. The attention to detail and the level of care they provide is top-notch. However, when it comes to manicures, particularly acrylic services, I was sorely disappointed. After leaving the salon and taking a closer look at my nails while sitting in my car, I was shocked by the poor quality of the acrylic application. It was evident that corners were cut, and the end result was far from satisfactory.
Dissatisfied with the outcome, I walked back into the salon to request a refund. They wouldn’t refund the $80 for the acrylic nails. Although they offered to fix my nails, I couldn't bring myself to trust them again after the initial disappointment. It's disappointing when a service falls short of expectations, especially when you're paying for quality.
On a side note, I initially requested a design for my nails, but the technician seemed uncomfortable with the idea, so I settled for a solid color with chrome instead. While this wasn't a major issue, it did contribute to the overall feeling of dissatisfaction with the experience.
In conclusion, while Azulene excels in pedicures, their manicure acrylic services leave much to be desired. Proceed with caution if you're considering getting your nails done here, especially if you have specific design preferences….

First, I will say that this review has nothing to do with the employee's or the former owners. Ray and Vicki as well as the workers are fantastic. Since this business was sold my wife and I have had issues several times with appointments. We have been going here for more than 22 years. Lately, we have had numerous appointments scheduled only to find out the appointments were not made or the wrong times were written down. We have spoken to the new owner each time and he made the appointments but then somehow forgets or writes down the incorrect times. This past week my wife called and made two appointments for her and I. We had to update our appointments from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm, the same day. We spoke with the new owner and he stated no problem at all. The day of our appointment we received a call from the receptionist stating we were late for our appointment. My wife advised our appointments were for 2:30 pm. We were quickly said no they were not they were 1:30 pm. My wife explained she spoke to the owner and changed the appointment to from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. The receptionist told my wife that was not correct. Once again, she told him again what had taken place with the owner. The receptionist informed my wife they had other customers at 2:30 pm so we could not come. At this point my wife was upset because this same issue has happened previously. She tried to accommodate numerous times to allow us 15 minutes to get to the shop but was met with no even though this was the owners fault. My wife told them to forget it and we would go elsewhere. I called back and advised the receptionist he needed to call the owner and make this right since it was his mistake and he had done the same thing previously. The owner called back and did nothing but blame my wife. He didn’t offer any solutions and did nothing to help us for his error. He failed to realize I was sitting in the car with her when she made the appointment originally and then had to move it to one hour later. I quickly explained the events that took place and we were told ok. If this was the first time this has happened, we would have said okay no problem. However, this was not the first time it happened. As I stated, it has happened several times since he has taken over after never happening prior to him buying the shop. We miss the way the shop was operated when Ray and Vicki were the owners. To many avoidable mistakes are being made by the new owner….

I went here with a friend a little over a week ago for a pedicure and a fill. The polish on my nails is already chipping (one actually chipped off 3 days after visit). There were several issues with our visit:
This is not my regular salon but my friend wanted to try them out again. Since she had made appointments two weeks in advance you would think they would be properly staffed. Usually when you make an appointment the salon should try their best to accommodate you to be seen together. At the very least for the pedicures. Instead I watched her get her nails done, then she went for her pedicure. Since my nails took longer my friend sat and watched me for 30 minutes after her pedicure. The other odd thing is Tracy was half way done with my nails then moved me to the pedicure chair. When done with my pedicure she then finished my nails by having me turn awkwardly while she attempted to do my nails while I sat in the pedicure chair (perhaps this is why they are chipping already). When my friend went to have her pedicure the gentleman didn’t even ask her what kind she wanted and gave her the standard pedicure (when she would have preferred one with a scrub and wax).
To me, going to the salon is having the “experience” of being pampered. Instead, it felt like we were being rushed through, as they kept getting up and down to do other things.
If you have appointments scheduled then have proper staffing. Don’t make your customers feel like they are a bother.
I will not return to this spa. I have been a loyal client at Love Nails in the Oaks Mall plaza and will return there to have my nails redone properly. Hannah and her staff are polite, personable and you never feel rushed. I only went here because my friend treated me and she picked this salon. I feel she should be given a refund for my nails, as this was not quality work. An acrylic fill should last a minimum of 4 weeks if not longer….

I would give a zero if Google would allow. This was the worst experience I've had in a nail salon. They first sat me to do a pedicure and then after sitting for more than 15 mins they decided to dry my feet and send me for what should have been a fill on my nails. The guy sat down and reeked of beer so bad I mentioned it and he puts a mask on them proceeds to big my nails he was literally burning my fingers when I pulled my hand away because they were on fire he says look how hard I'm working here. Then proceeds to continue to grind them even further. The lady owner comes over I complained and she switched spots with him to finish my nails. The acrylic is so thick, completely uneven and it took longer for just the full on my nails than it took for my 2 daughters to get both pedicures and fills. Definitely will never recommend this place to anyone.
My 1 daughters pedicure left her feet rougher than before, when you leave from having a pedicure your feet should feel at its very best that's not the case in this salon. For 3 people to come in and all 3 walk out very unsatisfied with the worst quality experience ever in a nail salon this place really needs to reevaluate the way things are done here. Not to mention the constant nonstop family arguments between the owner and their daughter not any kind of ambiance what should be a relaxing experience….

Men’s pedicures are $50. No one tells you this until you check out, even though I was shown a menu and asked what type of pedicure I want. I chose the regular/basic, which was $35. I got a great pedicure from Thomas, who was honestly super nice and did a great job. Sadly, when I went to pay, I was told the total was $50, and received no explanation as to why from the manager. When I inquired, she dismissed me saying ‘men’s pedicures are $50’ and when I asked why that wasn’t in the menu, she said ‘yeah it’s not in the menu, but that’s the price.’

I have no issue paying the $50, but this be disclosed when you select what price/option you want. It also could’ve addressed when I was asked what type of pedicure I wanted. But instead they waited until after the services were performed to then upcharge, which is just shady.

It’s too bad, I really liked the pedicure I got….
