I took my daughters to another salon today (on a Sunday) for their 1st set of acrylic nails for the start of the school year…one got a great set and the other got a horrible set by another technician. I didn't realize how bad they were until we left, she & I were very disappointed. We went over to Regal Nails in the hope they were open to try and get them fixed. We didn't have an appointment but when we told Lam what the situation was he took us in as a walk-in when he didn't have to and OMG I cannot say enough about how incredible he was to us, especially my daughter. He told her he wanted her first nail experience to be amazing and that's exactly what she got!! He fixed her nails and gave her an amazing set!! She was all smiles!! I don't leave a lot of reviews unless a business truly earns them but Lam & Regal Nails definitely impressed!! Unfortunately this used to be my favorite nail salon but not anymore. I was clear about what I ordered which wasn’t what I received. I scheduled an appointment for a dip French manicure and instead the nail tech gave me a dip base color with a hand drawn French tip. I expressed that this wasn’t what I ordered or expected and she mentioned that because my nails weren’t even that she couldn’t do the dip French tip. My nails were longer this time than they were the very first time I ordered this same service a year ago with a different technician. The French lines aren’t all uniform and underneath the nails feel thick and clunky. When I brought this up to have it filed underneath a little bit to make it “feel” more comfortable she told me she couldn’t because my nails were too short. Never again! This place lost a customer because I will not be returning. My pedicure was fine but the “dip French manicure”was not. My cuticles look crusty and old as of I had my nails done for over a week already.

Even after she told me to wash my hands there was no warm towel to place on my hands or lotion…I had to apply the lotion myself and she didn’t anything before she walked away. I didn’t even know we were done until I noticed that her station was cleaned and when I asked I was told that she was finished. Who does that?! Definitely not professional….

I dont know if this place is deleting the bad reviews or what, there is no way with the service i got this place deserves a 4.9. I came here last Thursday at 5:30pm, was put with a lady that did my nails so rushed that my 6 year old can do a better job at panting my nails. I am so disappointed, less than a week and my gel is already chipping off, the lady was so concerned about what the other lady was talking about in their language that she did not pay attention to what she was doing. Update 5/21/24.. I received a call from the place for me to come in so they can fix my nails at no cost, made my appointment and came in, I was surprised and grateful that they actually did call to fix the issue, i picked a different color, had another girl that did my nails even though I felt like she was rushing, the color is very vibrant and looked nice this time, even though my nails were not cleaned on the side I’m pleased with the result. The salon is clean, modern and trendy, I’ve tried Yen, Eric and Ben when it comes to my nails and they are fantastic with their work. I go to Ben now and he creates the most perfect designs for me which is what I love about him. His technique throughout the whole thing is right on the money. I recently went to try a facial out with Dao and her hands are magical. She has the candle lit for you in the room, the heated bed and massages your every muscle on your face, neck and chest. It was exactly what I needed after a long couple of weeks. She extracted all my blackheads and I felt so relaxed after. I highly, highly recommend going to Kai’s Nail Salon. Clean and has more seats than it seems from the outside. Lots of colors in all styles. I made an appt and there was no issue with them fitting me in with short notice but they also take walk-ins, you just have to be patient and wait until a tech is available.

If you live in the Villages there's no golf cart path but it's a very short drive. Will definitely be back….

I showed him pictures of how I like my nails to be done and said it twice how I like them thinner at the ends as they’re supposed to be coding and a thinner too instead of those thick looking nails he did. He caught an attitude once again and still they charged me $60 which he took $5 off because I guess he seen I wasn’t pleased but 55 !? For thick, not coffin or what I wanted nails ? It’s ridiculous because tbh I would’ve just wished he removed them and charge me nothing for them at this point . I won’t be going back and will be telling my family the same. He did my sister in law nails before and ML and it was the same thing , if other people enjoy the way he does it , great that’s their liking . But me personally I refuse to pay expensive amount of money for something I don’t like. I am literally so mad but I have manners and didn’t want to get out of character, he honestly has a bad attitude and last time even threw on my face how he’s a professional and knows what he’s doing but yet here we are with non coffin, thick, and uneven nails, if y’all look at the middle finger nail it’s literally crooked but I was already anxious to even mention anything else. And the fact that they knew I wasn’t satisfied and still charged me this much for putting some acrylic on top of the tips is WILD. So disappointed this morning. I took my granddaughter in for a manicure for her birthday. We arrived early because of Saturday morning being busy. We waited and waited. One person was doing nails for a lady when we got there at 8:40 and at 9:15 no other staff had shown up. The they came in finally and she took my granddaughter (7 yrs old) over to the nail drying table and was just going to put nail polish on. No hand massage no filing or cleaning her nails. My sister went in to go and get her nails and her toes done. Mimi told her to book an appointment and she did $40 for the appointment to secure her spot. Mimi without advising my sister, canceled her appointment and changed it to a different time without warning, my sister And when confronted about this, Mimi said it was because her client prior to my sister was running a bit behind when my sister called to make sure she wasn’t gonna lose the $40 and her appointment was still secure a gentleman by the name of Steven answered the phone and told her to shut up and he couldn’t talk to her and that he wasn’t going to be helping her and that she needed to wait for a manager and then proceeded to hang up the phone my sister then ended up driving to the salon and when she got there, Steven proceeded to demean her, and Mimi was there did not acknowledge anything. There was a woman there Hispanic lady who was very sweet to my sister and then Mimi told my sister to go wash her hands had her sit down and then proceeded to call my sister sensitive, ended up arguing with her because she was being too sensitive about the situation She said it wasn’t her fault that her client was running late, which my sister proceeded to say it’s not her fault either and that it shouldn’t have been changed without asking her because she had some stuff to do that day yet she still made the time to come in while she was sitting in the chair, Mimi continue to demean my sister and tell her that she was sensitive, and she doesn’t know why she’s bringing this all up again and then proceeded to not do her nail. She said she couldn’t do her nails anymore because she was too stressed out, they don’t care about you here and they overcharge and Mimi was very rude and Steven needs to get fired because he does not know how to talk to people and if Mimi can’t handle the “stress” then maybe she shouldn’t have a business. And we have video proof of how Mimi and Steven were both reacting and talking to my sister see how defensive they get when you post a review calling them out claiming they have video proof bet post the proof let’s see who’s lying and post the conversation on the phone since you guys record everything let’s see who’s lying. Mimi you as an owner should be ashamed….

Initially, I was scared because of the mixed reviews, and I was coming in late. I just left dinner with my family, and it was already past 7:30, and the nail salon closed at 8 pm. I didn't want a rushed job, and it would be my fault, but I really wanted my nails done for my vacation to Europe. I wanted my nails to at least be put together. I called the business and asked if it was OK if I came in even though it's so late. He welcomed me and said he'll be waiting. When I arrived, I was greeted by a woman and a man and offered a manicure and a pedicure. I didn't want to be that person to keep them there all night, so I chose a manicure cause only my hands were chipped from my previous gel service. Feet was brand new looking but only would change to match my hands but not a big deal. The woman did my nails, and I don't remember her saying her name, but she was nice. The quality and style of her process were nice, but the overall reason I will come back is the communication part. She constantly communicated with me. Is this ok? Do you prefer this? Is this how you wanted them shaped? Not alot of nail techs communicate and care to carry a basic conversation. I was not treated as a number like when I went into Van's nail salon. I appreciate the little things and i would just ask more specifics next time around. My husband loved my nails and if he approves then it's all good….

Been going in since they opened service will be good then it's not so good. I've said to myself several times I'm not going back and I usually don't for months .limited to nails salons in small town so I always end up going back . I went after work 2 1/2 hrs for a set and eye brows . Within half hour after leaving I started noticing my nails was not shaped correctly she used powder and gel so they was super thick . I called next day and said we need fix these . Made appt get there she trys tell me come back in hour . Then why make appt . ? The one lady starts u and another will take over hince why I got powder and gel . Anyway she says she fix it all. She did and at end she tell me I only charge u 10 dollars today . ???????? Mind u I paid 85 day before so I tell her 10 for what to fix ur mistake??? She replied with never mind this time . So no I will not go back I'm gonna drive 30 miles to Gainesville . They do what they want at this shop u may have 2-3 techs working on u for 1 set so communication is lacking . Not to mention all the chit chat between techs in their language I personally think is rude . Their Pedi is lacking to say least no soak time to relaxe all the chit chat u hear. Sad such a nice salon turning in to just a customer turn around not quality. Then want to charge someone to fix their mistake . Never got wash my hands after acrylic set was in before polish . So getting less for more money . Won't be back ever ….
