I’ve been going to this salon for the past few months and the service is worse and worse each time I go. Yesterday I went to get a fill and the woman was so aggressive with me, twisting my arms and fingers in ways the human body doesn’t move, THROWING my hands off of her if she finished with a step and my hand was still near her, the entire time I was uncomfortable and in pain. At one point one hand was under the light and she PULLED the other arm causing my whole body to move and the hand under the light to move and chip the paint. She blamed me for this for the rest of the service. On top of that she did a horrible job. The paint is peeling off on the side of my two my nails. I’ve been coming here for a while and have usually liked it but to have spent so much money there and get service like this… no thanks. (Was also the most expensive fill I’ve gotten there… despite the job not being finished)….

My usual nail place was closed so I had to venture out. I saw this place had great reviews so I gave it a shot. Customer service was pleasant overall. My nail tech was Nancy. I would like to give her the benefit of the doubt, but I can’t this time. I am also in the beauty industry, so I understand we all have those days. However, if you can’t fix it, find someone who can. I got a dip set with tips- something I have done a million times. To me, it seemed like she really rushed the entire process- even though they weren’t busy. I had to ask her to cut down or reshape nails multiple times. My two thumb nails look completely different and she told me “your nail bed is just larger on one side”. I have never had this issue before. All of this I can let slide, but the injuries I sustained I cannot. I have cuts on 8/10 nails. I repeatedly let her know she was hurting me, as if the blood wasn’t sign enough! Aside from my lopsided thumbs and the cuts on every finger, my nails look great! 🙃 I still paid for my service. I came to leave my review and noticed that the only 1 star review was about Nancy 🫠 always read the 1 star reviews folks!!…

The two times prior my nails didn’t lift, my nail tech had done a wonderful job, and they lasted 3-4 weeks, but this time I had to have someone else do my nails because my previous tech doesn’t work there anymore.
Anyway I got gel-x and it’s been a week and 3 days since I got them done and they have all lifted and most of them have popped off. This has never happened to me before. I got these nails because I was apart of a wedding and not even 3 days after getting my nails done two of them broke. They felt cheap and thin after getting done and I would expect acrylics to last longer than a couple of days. guys. no joke this is the best nail salon i have ever been. i’m originally from new york and moved here 3 years ago and have been searching high and low for a great, local nail salon and i have FINALLY found it.
i was introduced with such care and kindness, the staff goes above and beyond to put a smile on your face and have great conversations with you.
i personally never done dip powder, so when i told my amazing nail tech, Don, that, he comforted me and explained the steps and process he does to make me more knowledgeable. i wanted exactly what he did, something natural that made my fingers look longer that would go with everyday outfits, he nailed it.
my pedicure was also just as amazing, i did the bubble bath OPI and he threw in a lava rock massage with it, great hands lol.

My daughter and I went for a mani and pedi and it was a terrible experience from start to finish. We walked in to a very strong chemical smell from the acrylics. No one greeted us for over 15 minutes. We’re used to salons that have OPI, Essie, Dazzle and other good quality brands. They only had a couple of bottles from these brands but all weird colors that had been heavily used. The remainder were poor quality no name brands and it was impossible to figure out what the colors were because they were in boxes that had numbers on them but the numbers didn’t correspond to anything. We finally went outside after being ignored for a while and about 10 minutes later they called us and told us they were ready. No apologies or anything. We came in and were assigned to technicians, both of whom were super rude and unfriendly. When we asked to see colors, they got annoyed, when we politely pointed out a flaw in polish, they yelled at us, and they spent the whole time speaking another language, probably about us. My daughter accidentally smudged a small portion of one nail and when she showed her technician, she barked at her “you messed up!” No pleases, no thank you’s, no pleasantries whatsoever, even when I tipped 20% (which they didn’t deserve but she was standing over me as I signed the credit card terminal so I felt pressured). Low and behold, our service was yesterday and today the polish is peeling off and bubbling. Would not recommend!…

I also got a deep tissue massage and it was amazing. Robert truly is a miracle worker. It was a massage, stretch and chiropractic adjustment all at once. Very skilled and experienced, great care and good conversation.

Personally, I’ve never been one to leave reviews, let alone bad ones, but I’m completely taken by this service given the perfect 5 stars this salon has. The first two pictures (in the car) were immediately after the salon. I am so disappointed. I wanted to have luminary done with some extension to my natural nail. These were bumpy, my right hand middle finger nail wasn’t even covered after I expressed that needed to be fixed, and they just all around looked awful. The picture with the pink background was what I did after I came home to fix my nails. I spent $65 (including tip), on a service I had to completely redo. I don’t think I should spend that amount of money on a service that doesn’t match the price. I was too heated when looking at my nails to even argue paying for the service because I just wanted to get home to fix it. I am extremely disappointed….

The male technician doing my nails kept getting up during my manicure to help other customers, and was laughing and joking with other people but was short with me. *only thing i found a little confusing was i put down a $20 deposit and i was told that it went towards the charge at the end of the service. when it was time to pay, i paid full price for both of our service. i didn’t mind paying tip of course and was not NOT satisfied with the service just found it a little odd that i was told one thing, and it just wasn’t what they said was going to happen…

I hate to write bad reviews but this is well deserved. Back in april, i had walked in to velvet because my boyfriend had been here before for a basic manicure and liked the ambiance. He had seen the nail tech that did his mani do another intricate set and recommended i go to her to get them done. When we arrived, we asked for kymmy, we didn’t wait too long. When i sat down, i showed her what i wanted and that i wanted ACRYLIC. When prepping me, she asked if i wanted Gel-x, i said no. Then she went on about why i SHOULD, do gel-x. Again, i declined and explained why i wanted acrylic. Then she tried to make me feel stupid with “do you even know what Gel-x is?” And continued trying to sell it. At this point i had said no 3x already and i felt uncomfortable saying no again because she was very persistent. I decided to give in even though its not what i wanted. What i asked for was TAPERED SQUARE. She grabbed a box of tips and started applying. They looked very unsquare but i tried trusting the process because Ive seen other nail techs work magic. After applying tips on all my nails and never confirming the shape before doing them all, she went to put the tips away and on the box it said coffin tips. I was very angry at this point but once again i tried to trust the process. She applied a nude pink gel when the picture i showed was mkre translucent pink-nude. There was never any confirmation that it was what i wanted or if i liked it. She basically just did whatever the hell she wanted. The picture i showed was a translucent nude-pink with jade green french. She made the base so pink and then pulled out a seafoam green that was so far from the color. I asked for the other green and she applied and asked me if i liked it. Because the base was pink and not nude it looked horrendous. I was so angry and just wanted to leave so i said to just use white and finish it. She had the nerve to say “yea the white looks better anyways.” But of course it looked better that way because she didnt do the nails the right color. When i walked out of the salon and looked closer at my nails i was so enraged. They were crooked, the polish didnt cover the tips or sides and they were already chipped. And the french design was so thick and choppy i cant even begin to understand how she thought it was similar or okay to do. My man paid almost $100 for her to do whatever she pleased and F my nails up. I did not enjoy the gel-x, it ruined my nail beds and the skin under my nails grew so poorly and long that i couldnt even get another set done for awhile because i couldnt clips them down or try to restore my nails. I have cracks in my nails and the health of them declined after seeing her. This was the worst set ive ever gotten and experience Ive had. And when you see the pictures compared to the inspiration, it doesnt make sense to as why she thought she could do what she did. I wish i could go back in time and leave when i first saw that she was just gonna be careless and self involved. I only had a few pics and theyre not the best but i couldnt even look at my hands without getting angry. But anyone with eyes could see that they are no where close to each other. I need Kymmy to do better and listen to her clients instead of thinking she knows everything and doing as she pleases with other peoples hands and money….

I booked my appointment in advance with Tan because I had done enough IG lurking of the Opium Nails page and read enough reviews to discern that he was the best. There were also plenty of other top notch nail techs available. Within the first few minutes, I could tell he not only was super skilled at doing nails, but that he was passionate about his job and loved what he did. I decided to try Blush Nail Spa last week after reading the great reviews. I had high hopes that this would be my regular nail salon. I got a basic gel pedicure and dip manicure. The pedicure was great! I’m very satisfied with the results. The reason I’m giving 3 stars is because my dip manicure is not holding up well. I get dip manicures because I work with my hands a lot and need something sturdier. I’m quite disappointed that after only a week the dip is starting to lift and the clear coating is starting to peel. I try to be as gentle as possible with my nails, but if I’m paying for something that is supposed to be durable, then I would like it to last longer than a week. Aside from that, my experience was good. The space was clean, even though it was very busy when I went. Each staff member I interacted with was very nice and my nail tech was very kind and respectful. I just wish the dip was more durable and lasted longer….
